I am getting a fault code 01 message. It appears that it is the dryer control board that is the cause. What would you suggest?
For model number WGD9400SW0
Hello Eric,
Thanks for your question. The error code F01 indicates an error with the electronic control board. You may be able to clear this code by unplugging the unit for 5 minutes, but if it persists afterwards, only a new control board will be likely to fix that issue.
I hope this helps.

Hi, i have a Whirlpool duet dryer (wed9200sq0). The light inside the drum works when you open the door but none of the buttons work. Comments from Whirlpool suggests taht that control panel is rarely the issue. Any thoughts on a troubleshoot solution? Thank you.
For model number WED9200sQ0
Hi Tom, thank you for your question. Unfortunately only a certified technician can troubleshoot an electronic control board. I would suggest contacting one to come in and look at your appliance. In a case like you are describing the issue is either in the control panel (which is the part that has your buttons on it) or in the control board (which is basically the brain of your appliance that controls everything. The buttons activate this part). Good luck with your repair.
