Upper agitator would not move
Begin by removing the fabric softener dispenser then the barrier cap can be pulled from the agitator this will allow access to the agitator retainer bolt use an 11mm socket and extension to remove it once the bolt is out the agitator assembly can be pulled straight up out of the machine. To separate the upper agitator from the lower placing the agitator on the floor and placing your feet on the lower half and pulling up on the upper half will separate the two parts, however before performing this operation the agitator cam assembly may be heat set in place, looking down into the upper agitator there are four lugs that hold the cam in place if you use a sharp knife and cut thru the areas that have been heated and welded together separation of the two half's will be made easier. Once all the old cam parts are out reassemble the new parts the same way as the old ones were removed, the cam kit and the thrust washer kit come with a diagram in case you forget how to reassemble the parts. The agitator assembly simply slips back onto the drive splines, the attachment bolt has a seal under it that can be crushed if the attachment bolt is tightened too tight, I could not find a torque specification for this bolt so what I did was tighten the bolt until it contacted the seal completely and then applied just enough torque to turn the bolt until the agitator began to turn along with the bolt, then just install the barrier cap and seal and replace the fabric softener dispenser and the job is done, if you're washer is like mine I spent more time cleaning parts than actually performing this repair.

No the washer tub went washing some time get's unbalance and start beating&banging and now some water leak's out
For model number wtw4800XQ2 washer
PartSelect logo
Hi Danny, Thank you for your question. If the tub is shaking and banging, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the agitator directional cogs, the suspension rods, the suspension rod supports, the springs, the drive block, the inner seal cap, the rod supports, the agitator, the levelling legs and the clutch assembly. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Is there a lint filter on this model washing machine? We are getting marks, I assume lint, on our synthetic clothing. I have looked through the diagrams but haven't been able to find one listed. Thanks
For model number la8800xsw1
PartSelect logo
Hello Randy, thank you for contacting us. According to our research, your model does not have a lint filter. If you have hard water and use powdered detergent, you may notice stains on your dark clothes. That is because powdered detergents do not always dissolve in hard water, which can leave streaks. To avoid this issue, be sure to completely dissolve powdered detergents in washing machine wash water before adding clothes. The best course of action is to switch to a hardworking liquid detergent if you are currently using a powder formula. We hope this sorts out your problem!

Hello Robert, Thank you for the question. I suggest checking the Suspension Rod Kit, PartSelect Number PS11703290. The rods keep the tub balanced and from banging around. Hope this helps!
