Question:

The sani rinse light is blinking on the door. Sometimes other lights blink but mostly this one.

amy for model number GU980SCGQ2
Answer:

Hi Amy, Thank you for your inquiry. The sani rinse light is blinking because it did not reach the proper temperature to sanitize the dishes. This may be caused by the heating element not working correctly, the water supply in the dishwasher is low or the water coming into the washer is not hot enough. Try running the hot water in the tap until it reaches the desired temperature before using the dishwasher. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Question:

If that don't work what would be the next step? I was googling and seen there is a cycling thermostat kit or a high limit thermostat. Should i check these? Or could my control panel be bad?

Amy
Answer:

Hi Amy, That is a good question. The next thing I would check if everything else works fine would be the cycling thermostat as well as the electronic control board. I hope this helps.

Question:

When I hit the start button on my dishwasher, the cancel light comes on and then it sounds like it's draining? I heard that it might be the electronic control board? But my dishwasher is at least 10years old, so I think it might not be worth the $265 part.

Jadie for model number DU945PWPQ0
Answer:

Hi Jadie, Thank you for the question. You can try resetting the dishwasher control. This can sometimes solve the issues you are experiencing. To reset the dishwasher , it needs to be disconnected from the power source for at least one minute. If your dishwasher is plugged into an outlet, unplug the unit for one minute and then plug the unit back in. If the dishwasher is hard wired to the power supply, turn the breaker off at the home electrical panel that powers the dishwasher for one minute and then turn the breaker back on. Hope this helps!

Question:

Okay so if i try and run the water until it's hot then start my dishwasher and that don't work the sani rinse light is still blinking should i change the heating element?

Amy
Answer:

Hi Amy, Thank you for contacting us back. Before replacing the heating element in the dishwasher, I would check the part with a multimeter to verify it has continuity. I would also check to see if the water inlet valve is working correctly. I hope this helps with the repair.

Soap dispencer won't open during wash

Removed inside door panel and replaced control. I add verified the Dispenser Dual Wax Motor was good, but replacing the control did not fix the problem. The springs on the soap door look OK. Any suggestions?
