This dishwasher gasket, also known as a door seal, is used to provide a waterproof seal between the tub and the external edge of the door. If your dishwasher is leaking and you are getting water on the floor, changing the gasket can be the solution to your problem. For this repair, open the dishwasher door and pull out the lower dishrack for easier access. Locate the gasket at the bottom of the door and using a small head screwdriver, pull it out. Holding a piece of the gasket, you can pull the gasket away from the door easily. Remember there are cut-outs on the gasket for the corners, so place the new one accordingly and push them into place.
