This lower dishrack roller is less than two inches in diameter. It is made entirely of white plastic. If you find that your dishwasher is making loud noises or the lower rack is getting stuck when you are moving it in or out, it could be that the lower wheel assembly needs to be replaced. The dishrack wheels allow for easy movement of the dishrack in and out of the dishwasher. These rollers tend to wear down at the same speed, so it is recommended to replace both pairs at the same time. Open your dishwasher and remove the bottom rack, locate the locking tab, and rotate until it easily slides out of place. Slide the new wheel over the shaft and locate the locking tab to snap back into place.

Left door spring attachment with 16 inch broken cable. How do I install them. You don't show the cable on the diagram. Is it available?
For model number JDB6510AWP
Hi Garnell, Thank you for the question. The Door spring is PartSelect Number PS11746856 and the cable is PartSelect Number PS11747654. Please see the video link below for the spring. We do not have a video for the cable but here are some steps. Attach cable to the hinge. Then attach cable to cable link. Route under the roller. Attach to the short hook of the spring. Place large hook of spring into spring adjustment. Hope this helps!

How many wheels are there in the model?
For model number mdb7100awq
Hello Adam, Thank you for the question. As Per Whirlpool, this substituted part only has 6 wheels instead of 8. If you have the Original rack, you will need 8 wheels. Thank you for your inquiry, good luck with this repair!

Does the lower rack wheel need to be purchased in pairs
For model number MDB8951BWS
Hello Joseph, thank you for your question. It does not need to be but it is recommended. These rollers tend to wear down at the same speed, so it is recommended to replace both pairs at the same time. Thank you and have a great day

Broken latch handle
The hardest thing was figuring out that you only need to purchase the latch handle because it only comes as a complete latch assembly, why they even list the latch assembly as a separate part in the parts list stupid. (you get the handle and latch already put together and it cost less than the latch assembly without the handle). Anyway all you need to do is disconect the power from the dishwasher (unless you like to live dangerously like me) take your drill with the correct size torx bit and remove all the screws on the inside door pannel (the top center two screws actually hold the latch assembly in place). Disconect the 4 wires from the old part and reconect them to the new part and reinstall all the torx screws being careful not to strip the plastic threads that they screw into if you are using a drill. Whole process takes less than 5 minutes. I am surprised that Maytag used such a flimsy handle assembly in their dishwashers since they are supposed to have the repair men with the most time on their hands. They probably sell just as many handle assemblies as they do dishwashers that have this particular part in it, probably more since you will probably have to change it 2 or 3 times during the life of the unit.

Clips to hold the folding tines on the bottom rack were broken; also replaced some wheels on same rack.
It took awhile to figure out how to install the peg clips; I still have my manual, but there is no diagram or picture to show how they are installed (and not on the internet either - not even Amana's site), but I figured it out... so here are the instructions I have created.
On the rear part of the lower rack, you will notice that there is a row of larger spaces between the bars; we are only concerned with the 3 farthest right spaces & the 6 bars that create them.
Install both clips with the ‘flange’ that wraps around the bar inside the square; this will position the clamps that hold the clip in place on the outside edge of the bar.
Place one clip on the far right bottom bar; place another clip on the left hand side of the 3rd space (4th bar from the bar the other clip was attached to on the right).
There are small ‘legs’ that protrude from the folding tines on one end of each; place the tines so that the 2 large tines on both are on the outside, the 4 straight tines are on the inside of the squares when they are folded down, which will put the little ‘legs’ down by the far left square.
Snap the tines into the small clamps on the ends of the clips, so that the loops on the ends will rotate up into the larger clamps when the straight tines are folded down, which will hold them in place.
The upper arm was held in by a torx screw. The shoulder on the screw held the arm in place. Once removed I simply swapped parts and installed screw. The lower arm was held on by a plastic nut with knurled edges that you can remove by hand. The arm simply lifted off and I swapped arms again. The rollers are held on by a curled plastic lock that grips the wire basket.
Wheel had broken off along with the folding tines' clip
All I had to do was to snap the parts into place. I also had someone come here to find a leak in my dishwasher. It was in the latch and seal that kept the soap dispenser closed. They wanted to charge me over $50 when the part only cost less than $9 with shipping. I just ordered it and installed it myself. Piece of cake!
Dishwasher lower basket suffered from wear and tear
Slipped into place the two wheels on lower basket that had gone missing; removed brackets for adjustable section that were broken and easily snapped knew ones into place; connected handle to flatware basket and replaced the old one. Why we didn't do this years ago!
Inside the Dishwasher on the bottom of unit, I removed the dish cart. The removed the sprayer arm with an adjustable wrench on the plastic nut on the center top. Then removed the top three screws with a Torx 20 screw driver and removed the plastic cover, then removed the single screw above the black plastic water pump piece and took it off. Then removed the six additional screws that were then displated after the previous cover was exposed. Finally I unscrewed the ivory colored plastic shaft which holds the food processor blade from the metal motor shaft with a adjustable wrench. Upon inspecting the ivory plastic shaft I noticed that the threads were stripped inside it. Which means it didn't turn when the motor would turn and wouldn't drive the water pump.
I ordered the replacements and noticed that the replacement for the plastic ivory colored shaft was a metal shaft. It had new pieces as the food processor blade had notiches in new places. The kid had all the replacement parts and a good set of instructions for what to replace and where it would go.
Then I assembled the washer as I had taken it apart. And it worked perfectly the first time. It has been repaired and working for a few weeks now without incident.

Simple wheel - outrageous shipping cost
This tiny wheel, so small and so light but so necessary. The part works exactly as expected. But the shipping cost for this tiny little piece was absolutely outrageous. There was no special shipping, no box, not even a padded shipping bag just a thin plastic bag! How on earth can they justify such an inflated cost.
