I lucked out. It worked!
I tried to find out from their phone support people which part I needed. The support people were useless. So, I took a guess and ordered this part. Turns out I was right. This was the correct part, and took very little time to install, even though there was absolutely no documentation available. For a very small amount of money, I saved a $150+ service call or an even more expensive appliance replacement.

Dishwasher wouldn't start when door was closed.
Determined that I needed a new door switch. Bought it, then opened up the door by removing the inner panel with the six point screws. Removed one inner panel with a nut driver. Located the old switch, and wiggled it out of its mounting location. Used my Swiss Army Knife screwdriver blade to pry off the electrical connections. Plugged in t

Door switches were worn. Diswasher would not operate unless extreme pressure was applied to the door.
I pulled the interior of the door until I was able to get to the switches on the door latch. I determined at least one switch was completely worn while the other worked minimally. I then looked for the latch assembly and found out that it was no longer available. So I did some searching and found the exact switches I needed from PartSelec

Wondering if this part might fix my dishwasher problem. The dish washing process has been getting interrupted abruptly. When I apply pressure on the door by pushing it inwards it starts again but within minutes stops. This disruption continues through the whole dish washing process. During the drying period there is no problem. Should i give this part a try?

Hi Mary Kay,
Thank you for the question. I suggest replacing the Switch Holder, PartSelect Number PS11747662. This part latches the door securely to the switches can start the appliance. If you can push on the door and the switches engage then the switches are in working order and the holder is not keeping the door closed tightly enough.
Hope this helps!

First off, i think my dishwasher was interrupted mid-cycle because halfway through it it stopped and a couple lights kept blinking. After turning it off/on, when I try to click a cycle, it won't start. It still gets power (i see lights), I've tried cycling the power (breaker off/on) to no avail. When I click any cycle you just hear a momentary hum (like it's trying to catch on) but then fail to, and it'll just loop that. Thoughts? Door switch?

Hi Henry, Thank you for the question. This can be an issue with the door switch or the control board. You can test the switch with a Multi Meter, the switch should read closed. If the switch is closed then you have a defective control board.Hope this helps!
