One of the nuts on the ram stripped out

Do you want to correct your answer to the question “how many nuts are included”? Because the fact is, there is only one nut included in the package.
For model number WP9870163
Hi Nick,
Thank you for your question. You are correct, this kit includes one power nut and 2 retaining washers. Please accept our apologies for the the mis-information in the previous answer we provided. It is recommended to replace both nuts at the same time and you will need to purchase 2 kits. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

When we activate the compactor it goes down with normal sound but when it reached the final of the compression it makes a loud sound like something is breaking and then returns to top with normal up sound. Each time when compressing it is the same.

Hello Frank, thank you for contacting us. According to the description, you may need to check the drive gear kit, part number PS398589, to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
My trash compactor compresses but at the end of the cycle it makes a horrible sound and continues until it is switched off. After that, I switch back on and the ram seems to return. My guess is that it is the reversing switch. I have not pulled it out yet but will. The trash compactor is clean however.

Hello Charlie, thank you for contacting us. Based on our understanding of the issue, we would suggest checking the drive gear kit, part number PS398589, to solve the problem. It fits on the motor shaft and engages the driven gear to drive the chain. We hope this helps.
My jenn air after 10 seconds in cycle begins to vibrate loudly- i have checked the chain drive and sprocket- chain is tight and sprocket not stripped. Could it be the trunnion nuts?
For model number tc507b1
Hi Michael,
Thank you for your inquiry. It is possible nuts could be causing the issue. You may have to check for blockages and the screws as well. If this does not work the trash compactor may need some lubrication. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
