I removed the knobs to clean. They were unusually difficult to remove. Now, I can’t get them to “push” back into place. I put the on, but they aren’t “seated” into place securely. They spin around and fall off. What is going wrong? How can I get them to fit properly?

What is the part number for the d shaped shaft that the knob inserts over?
