Maytag dryer knob replacement part
Part received work great, basically replacing a knob so not too complicated.
Do wish that appliance manufacturers would use metal ring component for knob stem as it wears out requiring replacement. Or, have timers that dont put as much stress on knobs as they do.

After changing the cogs, inner-auger clutch assembly, retaining bolt and drive belt, the washer will still not agitate. Any suggestions??

Replace X-Large Burner Head with Electrode
Disassembly: Removed 2 screws with nutdriver. Pulled off electrode connection. Screws were rusted and needed replacement.
Assembly: Slipped on electrode attachment. Went to local hardware store and bought 5/8" 8/18 pan head screws. Used screwdriver to screw down burner head. The 3/8" inch screws on the tech sheet do not work. Too short and flange is too wide to fit in opening in burner head.

Washer lid became detached
I lifted top portion of the washer after removing rear attachment screws to obtain access to lid hinge and mounting pins. I unscrewed the broken hinges and pins and installed the new ones.
I believe I could have avoided removing the rear attachement screws by sliding a screw driver or flat pry bar under the front panel and lifted the front panel up. The job would have taken much less time.

Broken Dryer Knob
First let me just say that Partselect.com is now one my stored favorites in my web browser. I came home from a business trip and saw a pair of pliers on the dryer. I thought that was odd until my wife informed me that the knob on the dryer had broken. So she was using the pliers to select the cycle. Somehow she knew where the missing pointer was actually pointing. Since the dryer was over 5 years old I saw this as an opportunity to upgrade both appliances. Not with my frugal wife. A search of the Internet popped up partselect. I ordered Wednesday morning and the parts where on my doorstep late Thursday. Trust me I was very surprised. Everything worked perfectly. Two thumbs up!!!

Hello David, thank you for your question. We would recommend checking the suspension rods PartSelect Number: PS11703290, suspension rod kit PartSelect Number: PS3502189. If those parts are ok, the issue could be with the drive block or gearcase. I hope this helps!
