The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This lid hinge is a genuine OEM replacement part for your washing machine. This hinge is for the left side of your lid, although it is a good idea to replace btoh hinges at once. The hinge holds up the washing machine lid and can become rusted over time. This repair is rated easy by our customers.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?

Replace hinge and hinge spring assembly.
I mounted the left and right hinge assemblys into the washer (spring assembly) and then mounted the glass top on to the hinge assemblies. Inserted the screws and tightened as required.

Lid will not stay in the upright position when loading and then i must hold it down so it will engage the lock to operate.
For model number WTW7300DWO
Hello Al, thank you for your question. We would recommend checking the lid hinges, as well as the hinge wires on either side. It sounds like the lid isn't straight or has been bent or twisted off center. If its not staying open and isn't closing evenly the unit won't lock to allow the unit to operate. I hope this helps!
I need to replace the lid lock of my dryer. I was washing clothes and out of nowhere, my lid lock piece snaps with a loud, harsh sound, the piece is very fatigued and i am the only person in the household that does laundry. I have not tampered with any components, and parts for my model are supposedly nonexistent. I have looked on and off of the official Whirlpool sites, and can not seem to find a piece.
