I am trying to replace the trim on the bottom of the oven door. When i removed the trim piece the glass and side trim pieces came off so quickly that i didn't see how they were attached. Now i can't figure out how it all goes back together. Can you help?
For model number GR448LLXPQ2
Hi Robert,
Thank you for your question. Based on a customer comment, the customer removed the oven door and the 3 screws holding the bottom door trim. He then attached the new trim piece and reinstalled oven door. If this does not help, there is a video on our website that you can reference on how to install the door trim. The oven in the video may not show exactly like the one you have and the part being installed is the top door trim, but it will give you a general idea on how to install the door trim. You will find the video under part number PS11744040. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Rusted lower trim
Tried to do it myself and broke the left trim piece. Use two people!
Checked to see that I had all the parts I needed. Installed bottom door trim then side trim pieces. Do not tighten screws. Install door handle with top trim attached over glass. Tighten screws just snug all around.
Removed oven door and the 3 screws holding the bottom door trim. Attached new trim piece and reinstalled oven door. Entire job took less than 5 minutes.

Front glass shattered, side trim broke and lower trim bent beyond repair
Followed the YouTube video and did it the correct way they showed. Note: side trim goes under the glass.
