We get water on the floor. Repair person said that the pan must have a crack in it and that the entire refrigerator has to be tipped over to get the pan out in order to replace it. The unit was made in feb of 2014. Does this sound correct? If so, is it something the average guy could do?

Hello Bill, Thank you for your inquiry. You do not need to tip the refrigerator in order to take the drain pan out. You should just need to take off the back panel, disconnect the water inlet valve-you may want to put a towel down to catch any drips, cut the tape that holds the drain pan down at the back of it, then remove the front grill and water filter assembly, cut the second piece of tape from the front of the pan and remove it. We do have a repair video for a similar part to give you a general idea of the procedure. Hope this helps!

I bought this refrigerator new over 20 years ago. Water has always accumulated in the bottom of the refrigerator which seems to not have any way for the water to drain. I have to sponge or siphon the water out as it will eventually fill the bottom of the refrigerator and run out on to the floor. Is there anyway to fix this problem?

Hi Stephen, Thank you for the question. I suggest checking the drain tube, Manufacturer Part Number 2183033. Sounds like something have have blocked the tube and is not allowing the water to drain into the pan under the appliance. Hope this helps!
