Sorry, we couldn't find any existing installation instruction that matched.
Old timer would not work on all settings
Unplugged dryer from outlet, removed 6 screws at the back to expose timer, pulled knob off of timer, removed 2 screws that held timer in place, carefully noted where all the wires go from old one to new one, changed (8) all the wires over to the new timer, put 2 screws in to hold timer in place, replaced knob and put 6 screws back in for back cover, plugged in Dryer. DONE! Works like a charm. All the settings work now so if we want fluff dry without heat, we can do it. Very easy installation.

Intermittent Operation
First, let me say I am absolutely not an appliance expert by any means. In fact, I figured out what part I needed by reading others comments on this site!! Repair was very easy. I disconnected the dryer from the wall plug. Used a socket set to remove the access panel where the dryer timer was. Then before I removed the old timer I took the wires off and connected the new one to make sure I put them on properly. I used a small pair of pliers to remove a few of the wires since a few were snug. Then I simply removed the timer dial from the front, removed the old timer(2screws), and installed the new one. Finally, replaced the rear panel and plugged it back in. Worked like a champ!!! No more wiggling the dial to try to get it to turn on. AND, the wife was most impressed and very happy!!!

Dryer starts ok but the timer does not advance. Dryer runs forever unless stopped manually. Is the timer broken?
For model number WGD5100VQ0

Hi Harold, Thank you for your question. If your dryer is not shutting off, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which ones are causing the issue. You will need to check the door switch, the internal bias thermostat and the thermal fuse. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

In a recent move the timer dial was broken off my dryer the metal pin broke do i have to get the entire timer assemble to fix this?
For model number TEDS780JQ0

Hello Mary, thank you for your question. Yes, the metal pin that the knob slides onto is part of the timer assembly itself. You would have to order the timer to fix that part. I hope this helps!

Dryer starts fine but Timer does not advance on AUTO. Clothes take too long to dry. Have already changed the Cycling Thermostat, no help. It's a 12 year old dryer. If a new Timer is needed, I will opt for a new Dryer. Any suggestion is appreciated. Thanks.

Hello Dino, Thank you for the question. If the Thermostat did not fix the issues, unfortunately it is an indicator the Timer Switch will need to be replaced. We hope this helps!

The dry will only work on the timed setting, but it won’t start at all on the automatic setting. We can press the start button, but nothing happens until we turn it to the timed, and then it will start. Will this fix the problem?
For model number WDG5550SQ0

Hi Morgan, thank you for your inquiry. Based on the description that you have provided, we would recommend replacing the timer, part number PS11745790, to fix the issue. The timer is used to control the unit's cycles by regulating the length of time that power is directed to each setting. We hope this sorts out your problem!
