This was an extremely simple repair. The parts were right, so I just popped off the old and popped on the new. Reinstalled the top rack and end caps. No problem.

Came on time, worked as expected, installation was very difficult
One needs to know that in order to install this part you must remove the end caps which do not come off easily, and must be reinstalled by inserting them sideways. Then remove the upper tray and the damaged part. To install the new part is tricky and hard to explain here. There should be a YouTube for this. It took me quite some time to figure out the install. Then, if the part to be installed is in the front of the tray, be sure to install it at least a foot back from the front of the tray or you will not be able to pull the tray completely out.

Very difficult to figure out install
First, to do this correctly and easily, you should remove the end clips holding the upper tray and remove the tray. To do this, you must pull the clips from the side and install those clips the same way-slide in from the outside. Otherwise if you try to pull the clips straight out you could break the clip. To install the new part, I
... Read more struggled with how to do this for almost an hour. The key is to slip the roller thru the area where it is to be installed and hook one side to the tine on the lower left then carefully move the entire part up, being sure to have the left part of the unit positioned so that it also sits as intended. There should be a UTube for this part, or it should be sent with instructions. Very frustrating..

I have a KitchenAid dishwasher. The upper dishwasher rack wheels pull out from the bracket that holds the top rack. I assume that i need to replace the four upper dishwasher wheel part no. 8268785. The replacement looks straightforward. However, i am not sure how to get the end cap off and then back on. Can you help me with this? Thanks.
For model number KUDP01DLWH6
Hello William, Thank you for your inquiry. Upon reviewing the part I show that in order to remove the track end cap, you would use a flat blade screwdriver to press the tabs on the inside of the track, then remove the stop. Hope this helps!

Part # ps11745464 our rack keeps pulling out of the f-shaped track in the part which holds onto the rack. In your 2nd picture, that's the left end of the part. We can push the rack back into them but after a wash or 2 they pop out again especially when there weight, that is, a load of dishes in it. Doesn't look like anything is broken? Your thoughts? Thx

Hello and thank you for writing.
It sounds like the plastic parts might have become faulty due to the heat of the dishwasher, they might not show any damage that would be obvious, but they still might have bend and that could be causing these symptoms. You should consider changing those parts, but do inspect them for damage such as being slightly bent. We hope this information helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.
