Drum didn't turn/spin
1) Removed back of washer 2) Removed nut holding pulley 3) Pulled pulley off shaft 4) Put new pulley on shaft 5) Replaced and tightened nut 6) Replaced belt on pulley 7) Replaced back panel 7) Washed pile of laundry
I first removed the back panel held on by about 10 screws. I removed the drive belt from the pulley, then removed the lock nut securing the pulley to the drum & removed the pulley. Attached the new pulley to the drum, tightened on the lock nut, attached the new belt & ran a spin cycle. When that went OK I replaced the back panel & the

I first had to take off the back and the top to get to the pulley and the belt. The pulley had woobled so much that it had worn out the center nad it would no longer hold to the post in the tub. It also had cut into the back of the tub about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch. I unscrewed the nut holding the pulley and removed it. I then took a knife and
... Read more trimmed the rough edges off the back of the tub to make it smooth. I then smoothed out the end of the post that the pulley fits on so the new pulley would fit. I tightned the nut and put the belt on the motor drive shaft and Used a robo grip to hold the belt as I turned it onto the pulley. I but the back and top back on and that was it.

What does replacing drum pully have to do with tube jumping around in spin cycle? Shock are good and not broken. Unit is level.
For model number wfw9450ww00
Hello Bud, thank you for your question. The Drum Drive Pulley attaches to the Drive Belt and rotates the Tub Drive Shaft. If it is damaged or worn, it could cause your machine to shake or move around during the cycle. I hope this helps and good luck with your repair!

Found plastic shaving in my drum and on spin cycle it shakes and vibrates extremely bad.
For model number 110. 47089 600
Hello Kevin, thank you for writing. This could be due to the Drum Drive Pulley, part number PS11745017 for your model. You may also want to consider as a more likely cause the Shock Absorber part number PS11723173. I hope this helps and good luck with your repair!

My Whirlpool Front Load Washer Shakes very hard from side to side in the high speed spin cycle. Does this model have a Spider or Drum Drive Pulley in the back? What other problem could cause this?
For model number WFW9400SU01
Hi Marietta,
Thank you for your question. If your washer shakes and moves during the spin cycle, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the shock absorbers, the springs, the drum drive pulley, the leveling legs, the belt and the outer tub. We have included a link that you may reference on how to check some of these parts. Once you have determined the part you need, please feel free to call customer service. We are open 7 days a week and anyone will be happy to assist you. We look forward to hearing from you!
Is there a bearing behind the drive pulley available. Washer makes a lot of noise in spin cycle, seems to be coming from back of drum. Thanks T

Hi Tom, thank you for your question. Unfortunately it looks like the only part just behind your drive pulley is the nut. Which I have listed down below for you. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
How can I tell if the bearing is bad or the drive pulley? The machine makes a loud knocking sound while spinning. I have recently replaced the drain pump, springs and shocks. Is there something visually I would notice that would help me determine what part to replace.
For model number GHW9250MQ0
Hello Jennifer, Thank you for the question. Both would show visible wear if they need to be replaced. However, the Bearing normally has a grinding or metal on metal rubbing sound when worn. We hope this helps!

I brought drum drive pulley. Received pulley monday on ups and installed it tonight. Put a small load of towels in and on the first high speed spin unit started knocking. Unit is level. To me the sound is coming from between the basket and outer tub.

Hi Bud, thank you for your question. You may want to look at the shock absorbers for being your issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
