Control Knob WP8181859

The control knob arrived in a timely manner and was easily installed. PartSelect has instruction videos to assist consumers with repairs and installations, though a video was not required to install this simple control part. This part is offered in several colors designated by the manufacturer and I took my best guess on color based on the computer image. The color of the knob was not a perfect match to the original but this does not affect its functionality hence an exchange is not required. Our washing machine resides on a service porch and is out of view.

The knob is great now that is on the appliance and works great.

This is a plastic knob replacing the one that broke on our washer. It should sell for $5 and allow PartSelect to still make a hefty profit. But no: it is sold for $28 (twenty eight $) plus another $8 for shipping and handling. This belongs to the predatory pricing. Shame on Part Select and Whirlpool to allow such robbery..
