Will i it be obvious or does it matter which side is facing up when i install this part. Is there a top or as particular side the need to be up or down?
For model number Maytag
Good Day Justin. Thank you for your question in regards to PartSelect Number PS11744910. Based on our research the bottom part has the piece that looks like a little "L" whereas the top part does not have this piece. Hope this helps. Best Regards.

I have a Kenmore elite smartwash quietpak9 and door hinge broke. One piece is stuck inside on machine and other half is still on door. I see a part on your website that looks like the part but i want to make sure it fits my washer. I put in my model number and then a bunch of parts popped up even though it says i think made by Maytag maybe?

Hello Jennifer, thank you for your question. If the part that is broken is the post piece that is screwed to the door and goes into the unit to hold it closed, then yes, this is the right part for the unit. You will want to be sure you can remove the piece that is inside the machine, as this part goes into and activates the door lock so the unit knows that the door is shut. If you can't remove the piece that is stuck in the unit, you may need to replace the door switch as well. I hope this helps!

Hello Bobbie, thank you for reaching out. We have researched your model and found that this door hook, part number PS11744910, will fit your model. The washer shakes while spinning because of the faulty shock absorber, part number PS11745030, and the spring, part number PS2338452. If you require assistance to place an order, please contact customer service. We hope that helps!
Hi Jose, thank you for the question. We would recommend checking the door hook first. If it is fine, the issue is most probably with the door lock latch, part number PS11745016. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope that helps!
