This valve knob is also known as control knob, burn valve, and burner knob. It fits on your stovetop or range to control the heat of the surface burner. No tools are required for this repair, simply remove your old knob by lifting straight up and off, and replace with the new knob by aligning the D-shapes on the shaft and knob and pushing straight down. This part is made of plastic, and is black in color. This knob accepts a D-shaped shaft. It is sold individually, so consider checking other knobs in case they need to be replaced as well.

I bought my stove in 1995 and i love it. However, the knob that controls the oven heat has the temperature numbers worn off. Can i get a replacement for just the oven knob?

Original Knobs broken; would not work
Removed the aftermarket knobs I originally bought (they would slip or not turn at all) and installed the new Magic Chef knobs on stove. They work perfect! A high flame was coming out of the side of the burner
Easy......pulled out the old one easily and popped in the new one.......saved a lot of money...no repair bill for either diagnostic fee or assembly fee ...No mark up for the part either. Very happy mom!
This was not a difficult task. I just slid the valve knob on the shaft, repair was complete. This was a very easy diy project.

gas range knob and oven knob for my magic chief stove broke
After going to Homedepot, Sears, Lowes and other hardware stores I reached out to some folks at my job i was recommended to order the parts from PartSelect.
