Not sure which part I need. My oven temperature is off by about 25 degrees. The oven says it pre-heated but if you check it with a thermometer it just about makes it to 250, but if I wait for another 30 min it makes it close to the correct temp but I have to have it set higher than I need.

Hi Sylvia, Thank you for the question. I suggest testing the Temperature Sensor. Testing the temperature sensor probe on your oven is easy. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. Hope this helps!

My top oven turns on, the temperatire indicator races up to wherever it's set, beeps and then the oven doesn't heat any more. The oven is barely hand temperature whatever it's beeping to say it should be. Which of the sensors is this likely to be please? We've only replaced the top element 'til now, and that was a while ago so probably unrelated. Thanks!!

Hello Carol, thank you for your question. This is probably an issue with the temperature sensor. We would recommend testing the sensor to determine if it is faulty or not. I hope this helps.

Looking to replace temperature sensor in bottom oven. Do I order PS11744537 or PS1570174?
For model number MER6751AAW

Hello Dave, Thank you for your inquiry. PS11744537 is the long bottom oven sensor, and part# PS1570174 is the sensor for the top oven. Good luck with your repair.

When baking in the upper oven over cooks food on the left side while the food on the right side is done perfectly. Uneven baking.

The top oven temperature will come to the set temperature then start beeping and flashing the word oven in red. Then the temperature shuts down. I see by the parts that it may be the temp sensor, but I'm unsure and do not wish to send for the wrong part. Would also like to be guided as to how to replace the part needed. Thanks.

Hello Donna, thank you for contacting us. The issue is most probably related to a faulty oven temperature sensor, part number PS11744537. We would recommend testing it for continuity using a multimeter. Set the multimeter in the lowest ohm settings and connect its probes to the terminals of a multimeter. It should give a reading close to 1100 ohms if it is not faulty. Please watch the attached video for the installation procedure. It is not exact same model but will give you an idea of the procedure. Please reach out to customer service if you need help placing an order. Glad to be of help!

I have a double oven, free standing gas range. The bottom oven burner comes on and ignites for a short period of time and then the gas shuts off. I am wondering if it could be a bad temperature sensor or if there is another likely reason.

Hi Richard, Thank you for your question. It could be. I would suggest testing that sensor but also testing your igniter as well. You can test both of those parts with a multi meter to see if they are working correctly or not. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Now does it make sense that the upper-level oven and the lower level oven would have the same problem at the same time? I had the original gemini double oven for 10 years and never once had a problem with the temperature probes. This stove is less than 3 yrs old. Do you think it could possible that it's a problem on the circuit board instead?
For model number MET8720DS0

Hi Sylvia, Thank you for your question. It would not hurt to do a multi meter test on your bake and broil elements, and your temperature sensor. If all three of those parts are testing fine, then it may be your board that is the issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

I have a dual fuel Jenn Air. Both ovens turn off after 2 minutes. Resetting and restarting only results in another 2 minutes. I recently had the motherboard replaced. It seems odd both long sensors would go at the same time. Any suggestions?
For model number JDR8895AAW

Hello Dale, Thanks for your question. We would recommend testing the temperature sensor, igniter, and long oven sensor for continuity with a multimeter. Usually this particular issue arises due to a bad relay on the control board, but since you have replaced that recently, try testing those other parts first to see if any are faulty. I hope this helps.

The bottom element will not shut off when it reaches the temperature that it is set at. It continues to get hotter and hotter. I have replaced the oven sensor part #12001656 (long) and that did not solve the problem. Any ideas on what else I can do to resolve this problem? The problem started after I did an oven clean. It tripped a breaker during the oven clean.
For model number MER6875AAS

Hello James, Thanks for your question. This may be due to your bake element itself. It can be tested with a multimeter to ensure continuity - replace it if it shows no continuity. If that part is intact, it may be due to the electronic control board. I hope this helps.
