Not sure which part I need. My oven temperature is off by about 25 degrees. The oven says it pre-heated but if you check it with a thermometer it just about makes it to 250, but if I wait for another 30 min it makes it close to the correct temp but I have to have it set higher than I need.

Hi Sylvia, Thank you for the question. I suggest testing the Temperature Sensor. Testing the temperature sensor probe on your oven is easy. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. Hope this helps!

Now does it make sense that the upper-level oven and the lower level oven would have the same problem at the same time? I had the original gemini double oven for 10 years and never once had a problem with the temperature probes. This stove is less than 3 yrs old. Do you think it could possible that it's a problem on the circuit board instead?

Hi Sylvia,
Thank you for your question. It would not hurt to do a multi meter test on your bake and broil elements, and your temperature sensor. If all three of those parts are testing fine, then it may be your board that is the issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

I have a dual fuel Jenn Air. Both ovens turn off after 2 minutes. Resetting and restarting only results in another 2 minutes. I recently had the motherboard replaced. It seems odd both long sensors would go at the same time. Any suggestions?

Hello Dale,
Thanks for your question. We would recommend testing the temperature sensor, igniter, and long oven sensor for continuity with a multimeter. Usually this particular issue arises due to a bad relay on the control board, but since you have replaced that recently, try testing those other parts first to see if any are faulty.
I hope this helps.
The bottom element will not shut off when it reaches the temperature that it is set at. It continues to get hotter and hotter. I have replaced the oven sensor part #12001656 (long) and that did not solve the problem. Any ideas on what else I can do to resolve this problem? The problem started after I did an oven clean. It tripped a breaker during the oven clean.

Hello James,
Thanks for your question. This may be due to your bake element itself. It can be tested with a multimeter to ensure continuity - replace it if it shows no continuity. If that part is intact, it may be due to the electronic control board.
I hope this helps.
Bottom oven element continues to heat way above setting, keeps going, won't turn off.. have rebooted (unplug, replug). no joy. suspect temp sensor. any advice?

Thanks for previous reply. Have tested temperature sensor & ohms are within spec. Have also looked for diagnostic codes. Expected to find 1d11 or 1d12. No codes were displayed. Please advise next steps to diagnose/repair. Thank you!

Hello Carter, Thank you for your inquiry. We would also recommend checking the long oven sensor, the lower bake element, and the control board. Also check the wiring going to the element for any visible damage. Hope this helps!

My lower oven is not heating. I've replaced the lower element and it still does not heat. The broiler element does heat. Could it be the sensor?

Hello Gene, Thank you for the question. This is most likely an issue with the control board, but you can test the sensor first. Testing the temperature sensor probe on your oven is easy. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. Thank you for your inquiry, good luck with this repair!

We had an appliance repairman replace sensors and control panel. Oven still continues to overheat instead of stopping at pre heat setting. What else could it be?

Hello Pamela, Thank you for contacting us. I suggest checking the following parts: PS11744518 Lower Bake Element, PS2342087 Broil Element - Push On Terminals, and PS11742872 Electronic Clock Control. You can test the parts with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, we have videos available to assist you.

My top oven turns on, the temperatire indicator races up to wherever it's set, beeps and then the oven doesn't heat any more. The oven is barely hand temperature whatever it's beeping to say it should be. Which of the sensors is this likely to be please? We've only replaced the top element 'til now, and that was a while ago so probably unrelated. Thanks!!

Hello Carol, thank you for your question. This is probably an issue with the temperature sensor. We would recommend testing the sensor to determine if it is faulty or not. I hope this helps.

I have a double oven, free standing gas range. The bottom oven burner comes on and ignites for a short period of time and then the gas shuts off. I am wondering if it could be a bad temperature sensor or if there is another likely reason.

Hi Richard,
Thank you for your question. It could be. I would suggest testing that sensor but also testing your igniter as well. You can test both of those parts with a multi meter to see if they are working correctly or not. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
