Replaced upper over light and assembly
I had to pull out the oven and balance the oven on two patio tables. Remove the back of the oven. Pull out the light assembly which was burnt. original fixture required bulb - this fixture (all-in-one) was great
Pulled range out from cabinet-wall to get to back side, everthing was clearly exposed tlhen. Just a matter of installing new fixture, putting back on, reconnected power source - put range back in proper place.

Faulty bulb receptacle
Unplugged the stove and removed the back panel, disconnected the wires from the old receptacle, removed it, inserted the new receptacle, connected the wires, put the back panel of the stove on, plugged in the stove and then checked to see if the bulb was now burning. Success!

Oven door hinges broken
With the back removed, replacing the lamp receptacle is straight-forward. Likewise, the door gasket is very easy. However, in order to replace the hinges, you have to remove the burner glass top (screws underneath the front lip), and inner and outer side panels. First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires reverse the order to install the socet was easy but after i was done discovered that the base of the old bulb was stuck in the socet keeped it for future use
I killed power Pulled the back panel Pulled the door off pulled light socket wires reached in and bent in light socket tabs knocked out light socket slide in new socket lifted top of stove (glass) disconnected glass top wiring pulled off glass top pulled both side panels removed both

How to replace light bulb

"Unplugged the stove and removed the back panel, disconnected the wires from the old receptacle, removed it, inserted the new receptacle, connected the wires, put the back panel of the stove on, plugged in the stove and then checked to see if the bulb was now burning. There is no power to the oven light. The light and socket checked out. There is no power to the back of the socket. How do i pull the stove top off? Thanks

Hello, Thank you for your question. You will need to remove all screws around the cooktop, and ensure to carefully pull it off the top. However you may wish to check the light switch that you use to turn the light on. Good luck with this repair.
