Easy repair,
I took the element out of the packaged and installed it within 5 minutes. Just make sure the power is off and remove two screws and disconnect the the wires and reassemble it. Good price and fast shipping would recommend them highly and also the element was shipped with very packaging.

Perfect fix!
The new bake element was just what my oven needed. It arrived in days, the connections were straight forward, but leaning into the back of the oven to see what I was doing was a challenge for the knees and back. I rewarded myself with fresh cookies!

The bottom heating element of my Jenn Air cooking range stopped working.
My husband did the repair. He had difficulty removing the old element, probably because it had been in there for 20 years. Once he got the old element out, it took less than 30 minutes to install the new one.

oven wouldn't heat up
Make sure you turn breaker off install both wires and screw the bracket into the back of the oven. You could use a phillips screw driver but with my ovens age seemed like it wanted to strip it out so I used a socket instead. Turn on the breaker and it works like new

Burned out heating element
My father and I disconnected the electricity, took the old heating element out. This caused the most trouble as the old connections were impossible to loosen. But once we did, it was easy to get the new ones hooked on and the whole thing back together in less than an hour!

Bake function stopped working
Removed the bake element, checked with voltmeter for resistance which showed open circuit, ordered new element (which arrived in five days), installed. All of this can be done without moving the range, using access through oven door only. Connections to element are slip fits, removed and reinstalled with fingers.

Oven wouldn't heat up past 285 degrees
Turned off the circuit breaker for the oven. Took the existing element out (really easy...a couple of screws is all) tested it with my volt meter and saw that it was bad. If you don't have a volt meter a local appliance repair shop may test it for you. Put the element back in so I could flip the breaker and use the stove top while wai

Bake element not heating
Turn off the power, unscrew the two screws holding the element. Without any tool, pull the wires off the connectors. and remove the bad element. Connect the new element. push into place, and screw it in. Maximum 15 minutes, and didn't get my hands dirty.

Oven temp only goes to 250
For model number SVE47100W
Hi Bess,
Thank you for your question. If the oven is not heating correctly, then the issue is likely with the oven sensor, sometimes called the oven thermostat, and you will need to check it with a multimeter. When testing the sensor with a multimeter, the sensor should be tested at room temperature and it should be unplugged from the oven. You will need to measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. Replace the oven sensor if the reading is less than 900 Ohms or more than 1200 Ohms. If it checks out fine, you will need to check the electronic control board and the oven elements. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

My oven won' t heat up to the right temperature. How do i knoe if it is the bake element or temperature probe that needs replaced?
For model number SVE47100
Hello Diana, thank you for inquiring. You can test the Long Oven Sensor, part number PS1570174 for your model, with a multi meter. It needs to read at 1080 ohms at room temperature to be working correctly. If the Long Oven Sensor tests okay, then you will want to replace the Bake Element, part number PS11743855 for your model. I hope this helps and good luck with your repair!

I was able to replace the heating element (ps11743855) but for some reason, the heating element is not working??? i connected the wires in the back to the new element the same as they were to the old element and for some reason it is not working??
please help!!
For model number SV47100W
Hi Bess,
Thank you for your question. Test the element that you just purchased with a multimeter and see if it has continuity. If it is working fine, the issue maybe the wiring connected to it, the oven sensor or the electronic control board and you will need to check the parts to see which one is causing the issue. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
