I know i need to order an end of cycle buzzer for my dryer, but my question is will i be able to install it or will it be too difficult and will there be instructions with the buzzer?
For model number WED4800XQ0
PartSelect logo
Hi Billie Jo, Thank you for the question. First you will need to unplug the appliance from the power out let.Pull the appliance out from the wall. To install the buzzer you will need to remove the Rear Console Panel. This panel is held in by screws on each end and across the top.Once you have the back open you will be able to see the buzzer. It is held in by a screw. Once the screw is removed you can remove the wires from the old switch and install them on to the new switch. There is a small tab you will need to unhook from the frame to remove the old buzzer. Reverse the steps to reinstall the new buzzer and the Rear Console Panel. Good luck with the repair !

The buzzer sounds half-loud continuously while dryer is on and it cannot be made to not sound at the end of cycle except by leaning a book against the selector. I would happily just take out the buzzer.

Hello Dan, thank you for contacting us. The buzzer is suppose to only buzz until the motor shuts off and the motor switch opens, which breaks the neutral to the buzzer. A bad push to start switch PartSelect Number PS11748542 can cause this issue. The switch can be checked with a volt/ohm meter. Hope this helps!

Buzzer sounds continuously after drying complete and dryer shut off. Must be manually stopped. Will this part resolve this problem?
For model number DE382
PartSelect logo
Hello Stephen, thank you for contacting us. The way it works is that power from the heater goes to the motor so that the heater can't heat unless the motor is running. When the timer cuts power to the motor and the motor stops running, the buzzer signals until the motor has stopped completely and the centrifugal switch opens up. You would need to replace the motor to get the centrifugal switch as that is not sold separately. Hope this helps!

After dryer completes auto dry regular fabric cycle and motor has turned off, buzzer sounds, but stays on. This doesn't happen with the other drying cycles. Will replacing the dryer buzzer resolve this problem?.

My machine will continue to run if it goes out of balance which results in continuous banging and walking across the floor until i manually turn off the washer. Isn't the washer supposed to shutdown automatically if it goes out of balance? Since my washer does not shutdown i am wondering it there is an out of balance sensor that has failed on my kirkland/Whirlpool washer (model #saws800mq0)?
For model number saws800mq0
PartSelect logo
Hi Dave, Thank you for your question. There is no out of balance sensor that would shut the washer off when it is not in balance. If the washer is shaking and moving during a cycle, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the suspension springs, the tub springs, the levelling spring, the tub wear pads, the suspension pads, the agitator directional cogs, the levelling legs, the suspension spring retainer and the direct drive motor coupling. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

dryer runs for three seconds hear a click and shuts off and selector switch becomes inoperable and three minutes later hear a click and selector switch becomes operable. same thing happens over and over again
For model number MGDC 300XW1
PartSelect logo
Hi Jackie, thank you for reaching out. First, you may need to make sure that the dryer door closes properly and is not opened during operation. If that is not causing the issue, then you may need to check the timer, part number PS11746606, as it is most likely faulty. We hope this information is useful!
