The clear lid on my pantry door cracked
I removed the drawers and glass shelf that are over the pantry drawer as well as the small piece that allows the drawer to pull in and out. Then I simply snapped the old one out, snapped the new one in, replaced everything I had removed and Done! Took less than 10 minutes.

Center rail between crisper drawers had broken leaving drawers exposed to excess moisture and food odors.. Pantry drawer lid hinge tab had broken and was discarded, leaving Deli Pantry Drawer with no closure. Bottom of pantry drawer had cracked front to back allowing food and liquid to accumulate u
Center Rail:
Removed the crisper drawers. Removed contents and the glass shelf above the the crisper drawers. Positioned the center rail as shown in the diagram, but it was not an easy fit so afraid it might get broken by forcing it, rolled the front edge of the glass shelf support slightly outward which enabled the rear tab of the rail room to engage into the rear shelf bracket and the "front tab" of the rail to slip into the notch at the front edge of the glass shelf support.

Pantry Drawer and Lid:
Lid was already long gone so I just slid the cracked pantry drawer out of the refrigerator, cleaned the surface under the drawer, placed the new drawer on the slides and in it went. The drawer lid was another finesse it in without breaking the hinge tab so had to position it slightly on the diagonal and popped it into place.

Now the crisper drawers glide silently and effortlessly along the side rails with the new center rail in place while the deli drawer lid raises itself automatically with a gentle grasp of the drawer pull.

It had been so long since those parts had busted I had forgotten how the assembly was supposed to work. It's like having a new refrigerator.

Now if I could just manage the ice maker!

over time, the plastic center rail and deli lid showed signs of wear and breakage
Basically, you are doing the same thing that you do when you clean your refrigerator. You are taking the shelves apart to get to the rail. The hardest part of the repair is cleaning everything and returning it back to like new condition. Real easy repair. the deli door can be a bit tricky. Just put one end in first and you can put some slight pressure to pop the other end in.. The refrigerator is 6 years old so plastic parts will begin to break over time. Good Luck!

The window for the door to the deli drawer popped out after something fell on it.
I had to replace the entire door because the plastic tabs holding the window in place snapped off. I just opened the door to see how it was held in place, released the old door and installed the new one. Job complete in less than a minute.

Something fell on the lid on the deli shelf. It put a crack in the lid. I looked up my model number, found the part in seconds and ordered it. It arrived in less than a week and it was so easy to install. My 13 year old daughter did it herself.
I removed the lid easily by pulling a little to one side. It was just as easy to put the new one on. Just a little shifting and it was done in minutes.

Cracked Deli Tray
I fumbled a large jar of olives that hit the deli tray, inside lining and top of bottom freezer drawer before making it to the floor. The deli tray cracked, a gash was in the white bottom lining and the SS top of freezer drawer was dented. Service and delivery was excellent, fast and installation was a matter of popping the tray cover off and snapping in the new one. Now, if I could only change out the liner myself.........

There appears to be nothing wrong with the pantry lid. However, it keeps popping out every time we secure it in place. The pegs that go through the holes to hold the lid in place keep coming out when we open drawer. Have put it back on numerous times. Maybe pegs are not as "springy" as they used to be? What solution do you recommend to get this drawer and lid working properly again?
For model number KBFS20ETSS00
PartSelect logo
Hello Gail, Thank you for your question. In most cases with these pantry lids it is not a problem with the lid itself. Most issues are caused by the end caps which the pivot pins are a part of. Over time the plastic can get weak causing a loss of spring. It is likely you would need to replace the end caps. The left side cap for your model is part number PS11738573 and the right side would be part number PS11738568. I hope this helps!
