We replaced the facade and overlay a couple years ago. Recently, the water dispenser just discharges water when no one if trying to get water. It has only happened 3-4 times in a couple months. Would the board be the problem? It is so intermittent that we don't have a handle on the problem. We have put a glass in the dispenser area to catch water or it runs over the floor. A repair guy came out and couldn't find out what was the problem. Any ideas?

Hello Michael, if the dispenser is malfunctioning, and you have thoroughly checked your water lines, then we would suggest checking the Dispenser Electronic Control Board, and the Facade Insert for defects or damage. Hope this helps!

The lights went out on the ice/water dispenser selector buttons a couple of weeks ago but you could still select eithe ice or water. Then yesterday, the selector is stuck on water. No matter what button you press ( ice, crushed ice, or water) only water comes out. After viewing other questions i suspect the circuit board behind the dispenser touchpad. Is there any way to troubleshoot the board with a meter? What part number do i need for this model?

I was using the water dispenser in the door of the refrigerator. It was working well, but suddenly the water stopped flowing. I took out the filter, it still won't work with the filter removed. The Green lights in the panel still light up. I tried to reset the lock and unlock button by holding it for 3 seconds. No water comes out, when i push the crushed ice or ice cube buttons nothing at all happens.

Water - Ice Dispenser not working
Took lower plate out then removed two screws. Unhooked electronic control board and remove board by removing two small screws. Disconnected wires and replaced with new board. Front cover plate was replaced as the "water - crush - cube buttons on face plate had cracked. Replaced front cover with new plate - used a little glue to keep the small buttons in place. Now we can select all three items and it is working fine.

Water dispenser got stuck on one function, couldn't get water to work
Removed two screws and took off water dispenser front panel. Unplugged wires to old control board and removed it from brackets holding it to inside of dispenser panel. Aligned and pushed new control (with care to only touch the outside edges of board...cannot touch circuitry which will permanently damage it). Was tricky aligning the board and snapping it back on, but finally got it in place. Repositioned dispenser panel and reattached two screws.
Second problem was the Chute and chute seal had broken off from the hinge chute so it wouldn't open or close when dispensing ice. Was pretty tricky to realign the chute seal to the hinge, but with some paitence and manipulation, was able to reconnect them.
I am REALLY impressed with the detailed drawings I found on PartSelect.com's website. Without these drawings it would have been difficult for me (my husband and son put the parts in, I did the ordering) to know what parts to order. Service was EXCELLENT. I would definitely do business with this company again. Great work!

After moving our refridgerator to our new home and reassembling the door dispencer assembly, we no longer could change the water to ice selector.
I removed the door dispencer cover and located the control board. I unpluged the wire connector and water dispence switch, laid down the cover and removed the control board. I snapped in the ned board, reconnected the wire terminal and put the dispencer cover back on the door.
