This refrigerator ice maker fill cup dispenses the water into the ice cube mold during the fill cycle. Replacing the water fill cup is a possible solution if you notice that the ice maker is leaking, or not making/dispensing ice. If you notice the fill cup has been damaged or cracked; replace the part straight away. This water fill cup is a genuine OEM part and will fit most refrigerators, but check the list of compatible brands to make sure yours is included before purchasing.

The Ice maker unit had to be removed and the shaft had to also be removed, which required dis-assembling the motor drive. The thickness of the shaft and the bearing fill cup prevents it from simply pushing it in place. Other than that I have Ice.

ice maker gears stripped/ bearing & cup assy broken
The bearing & cup assembly was broken and the gears in the drive assy were stripped. Unfortunately I couldn't find anywhere to buy the gears without buying the entire motor assy with the gear box already on it. Cost was up to $85 with shipping but at least it now works fine.

Then pull the power connector off from behind the ice maker at the side of the refridge. Then pull straight out and it will slide off the water fill tube. Now with unit out of refridge I took the cover off the front of the ice maker and removed the 3 philip screws. I then pulled the motor/gear assy off from the chassis of the ice maker. I then had to remove the 2 philip screws on the chassis (under the motor/gear assy) to remove the cube maker/element from the chassis. This allowed me to remove the rotating cube spatula bar to replace the filler cup/bearing assy. Then I reinstalled the spatula bar and the 2 philip scews on the chassis to the cube maker/element assy. I then installed the new motor/gear assy to the chassis and installed the 3 remaining philip screws. Put the cover back on the ice maker and inserted assy back into the refridge by first reattaching the power connector and then sliding backward onto the water fill tube and then slipping over the top of the 2 top screws on the refridge. Then I installed the screw below the ice maker and tightened all 3. Presto - repair done in 30 minutes and perfect cubes were spitting out within the hour.

IceMaker Not Working
Our 2nd Ice-maker since 2003. They don't last forever. Intact, the Ice-maker takes 15 minutes to swap out. Broken, we wait for a replacement. Ordered extra Fill Cup. Not needed. Different Part broken this time! Latest Ice-maker has an extended Fill Cup so as not to Freeze up when refilling. Nice!

We have replaced all the parts to our icemaker and for a month it worked perfectly. Now the water in the little tube as it comes out of the top of the freezer is freezing. For awhile we could remove the ice and it would work for a week or so - now it freezes up again almost immediately. Any idea what the cause of the freezing might be? I read one blog that suggested putting some putting around the top of it (where it meets the top of the freezer). To insulate it. Thanks for your help!! my husband is ready to put the refrigerator on the curb with a free sign :)
For model number KSRP25FNSS00
Hi Kathyl,
Thank you for your question. Well, that really depends on what sort of problem your appliance is having. The first thing I would check is to make sure your water inlet valve is not leaking up to your ice maker. Sometimes if the ice maker solenoid on your water valve is not entirely closed it leaks up to the ice maker very little at a time. Then as your freezer cools it freezes the small bit of water and that just builds up over time. That is what causes a blockage that way. I would suggest testing your valve with a multi meter to check. The only other thing might be that your freezer is too cold and the water in the cup just freezes too quickly. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Part where light bulb is in the back leaking, hissing sound water dripping and terrible smell that is in are food thats making my family ill. I had to throw everything away. What can this be?
For model number CT15A2W
Hi Taylor,
Thank you for your question. If there is water leaking from the light fixture, the water tube, part number PS11747816, in behind the panel that carries water from the water inlet valve to the ice maker maybe cracked and leaking. The issue could also be the the water inlet valve or the ice maker as well. You will need to inspect the refrigerator and see what part is causing the leak. Once you find what is causing the the leak, you will need to replace the part causing the issue and the light fixture as well. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

My ice maker is dripping in the back so that i have a huge clump of frozen ice in the back ice bin. Do i need a whole new ice maker or just a water cup and bearing?
For model number MMFD2561 HEW
Hello Linda, thank you for contacting us. There are a few things it could be, if it is leaking from the ice maker it could be the solenoid which controls the water flow to the ice maker, it could also be a crack in the water line or the water fill cup and bearing you mentioned. Hope this helps!

I have a Crosley side by side my ice maker keep getting big chunks in the bin any ideas. I am getting extra water or spay making the ice cubes stick together and will not dispense.
For model number CS22AFXKQ03
Hello Kurt, thank you for your question. It sounds like your water valve is allowing a slight bit of water to come into the unit after it is supposed to be closed (after filling the icemaker). I would check your Water Inlet Valve part number PS3497634 as well as the tubing that brings water into the water fill cup. I hope this helps!

For model number RS22AQXFWOO
Hello Larry, thank you for your question. The manufacturer has discontinued the water tank but offer what is called the Water Dispenser Reservoir Tubing part number PS11739924. This kit no longer includes the connectors. It is only the tubing/water reservoir. This tubing requires an adapter coupler (PS369735) to take the tubing from 1/4 inch to 5/16 inch. Please enter the part number into the site for current price and availability. Good luck with your repair!

Leaking somewhere....ice maker fill cup is filling to the top & freezing preventing water from getting to unit. I replaced tube less than 1 yr ago. Also occasionally the water dispenser(for drinking) occasionally leaks on the outside. Could the "water flow control" in the back(not sure of name...it splits water line into 2 tubes) be defective? Now ice is frozen all over freezer.I will make sure the drain trap is clear. Thank you.
For model number KSRX25FNST01
Hi William,
Thank you for the question. I would recommend replacing the water inlet valve. Sounds like it is stuck open and leaking water into the dispenser and the fill cup when it isn't ready to fill and creating the freezer over and dispenser leakage.
Hope this helps!
Our ice has a terrible taste. Is there a water filter available for our refrigerator or is there another part that's needs to be replace?
For model number AFF2534FEW
Hi Gary, Thank you for the question.Checking the model number provided I see this appliance does not have a filter and is made for a household that has a under the sink or in house water filtration system. You can try cleaning the ice maker and flushing the water lines.Hope this helps!

My ice maker is leaking at the back where it fills. The first time ice built up along the wall of the freezer and in the ice bucket. When i cleared the ice i found a gasket in the ice. It was about 2" in diameter. I have looked at exploded views of the ice maker and cannot find any such gasket. It continues to leak into the ice bucket and freezes on the back wall of the freezer. Need some advice on this one.
For model number ET22PMXAW00
Hi Kevin,
Thank you for your question. I do not see that you have a gasket that wide in your water fill area, but I am unsure. You do have a fill gasket but it is only 1 inch wide. I have listed that part below for you though. I know that it does not come with the fill cup and bearing, so if you do have a gasket in that area that means that it would only come with the ice maker itself. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
