This is an OEM lint filter for a dryer. This lint filter screen has two side guides on either of the screen. One measures 3/8 of an inch wide, while the other measures 5/8 of an inch wide. This part is white and is made of plastic. You may need to replace the filter if the plastic is broken or warped. Simply slide the lint filter out of the slot and slide the replacement filter in. The lint filter collects lint from drying clothes and prevents lint from building up in internal moving parts, specifically the heating coil. Neglecting to clean your lint filter is a fire hazard, be sure to clean it on a regular basis.

Replacement of lint filter.
The lint filter I replaced was about 10 years old and was afraid I wouldn't be able to find one that would fit our dryer. The replacement I purchased from your company fit perfectly. I was so relieved and very satisfied with it.

Long filter didn't fit, excessive plastic flashing, poor quality
hand tried flashing, still did not fit well. Too large. Appears to be made from worn out mold. No instructions included with burner controller, it would have been helpful to have a wiring diagram as the new controller did not match old. Once wired, controller works great

Lint screen required replacement
Unfortunately, due to a catalogue glitch, the part delivered was the wrong size. However, Donald of customer service took the time to run down the correct part, and that is enroute to me now. Donald, thank you so much for your help!

Lint filter in the 22 year old Admiral gas dryer was wearing out
Received the replacement filter which was an exact duplicate of the 22 year old filter. Took the old one out; slid the new one in and got ready for another 22 years of use. At 86 years of age I probably won't be around to see the new filter wear out. The dryer has already outlasted the place where I purchased it - Montgomery Wards! They j

Lint screen was broken
This Was pretty simple, removed the old broken screen. There are two torque screws on the outside where the bottom of the door is, I removed them so I could move the screen on the inside so I could clean out the excess lint. vacuumed out the lint, tightened the screws back in and slid the new screen in and it was done.

minor annoyances I lived with for far too long
Haven't used the bottom door shelf of my refrigerator for years, lived with a lint filter on my hand-me-down dryer that was taped with electrical tape since the day I inherited it, and loaded and unloaded my dishwasher with irritation because of a broken clip on the bottom rack. Ordered the parts from PartSelect and got them in just 2 da

How do I clean the complete dryer filter not just the filter it self ?
For model number Pyet344ayw
Hi Howard, Thank you for the question. To clean the lint duct you will need to remove the front panel of the dryer and vacuum out the duct. Hope this helps!

My lint filter doesn't fit down into the opening all the way and I have had clothes catch on the corner of the filter and either tear the cloth or twist it, like washcloths, etc. Not sure if it has warped over the years? I just bought this house with this dryer in it. Works fine except for this.
For model number CDG7000W
Hi Janet, thank you for your inquiry. If your lint trap will not slide into its slot properly anymore, there are three reasons why. The lint trap is warped, your filter is dirty, and something is stuck inside the filter slot. To give the area a check, unplug the dryer and remove the lint trap. Shine a flashlight down in the hole to see if you can see an obstruction or if it needs to be cleaned; if it is warped, you need to replace it with part number PS11742807 to fix this issue. Please reach out to customer service if you need help placing an order. Glad to be of help!
