The light switch terminal is used in refrigerators and freezers to allow you to see inside your appliance by turning on when the fridge door is open and turning off when the door is closed. This part is 1.12 inches in length, 1 inches in width, and 1.75 inches in height. It weighs 0.026 pounds. If your light switch terminal is damaged or the light does not turn on when fridge door is open, replacing the light switch terminal can fix the problem. As a safety precaution, remember to unplug your fridge from the power source before beginning this installation. Refer to the manual provided by the manufacturer for further installation instructions and a detailed guide.

I entered part number 4152058, switch for a Whirlpool trash compactor. The part indicated that that switch has been replaced with another switch with three prongs instead of two prongs. Will this switch fit my trash compactor?

Freezer compartment lights not working. I know there's power to the switch. I know that the led lights are good and work. I have a new switch on order. If replacing the switch doesn't solve the problem, where do i look next? Is the next step to replace a circuit board. If so, where is it located and what is the part number?
For model number jsc23c9eem00
Hi Michael, thank you for your question. I would suggest looking at your lights themselves if the switch is not the issue. I have linked that part below for you. If that part is fine then I would go on to take a look at control board being the issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
Does this switch fit the refrigerator model I have? What is the difference between WP4387911 and W11457217? My research shows both should fit my Kenmore refrigerator.
For model number 106.58919800
Hello Ken, thank you for your question. We do not find the WP4387911 to be in the parts list for your model. However, there is the Light switch in the refrigerator PS11738900 and the Light switch in the Freezer PS16218024. We have a video on the Refrigerator switch. We are pleased to have been able to help.

Light switch broke on refridgerator door.
I measured the part then looked for a similar switch that might work. I was so happy to find the exact part we needed for our 24 year old refridgerator!! I was so impressed with your slection of parts and best of all I had the part in 2 days! You are in my "favorites" just in case I need you again!
Thank you

The light would not turn on when the refrigerator door was opened
I removed the plastic portion to get to the switch and wires. I removed the old switch by disconnecting the two wires and pushing it out of its setting.
I discovered the old switch only had 2 prongs where the new switch had 3. Once I figured which 2 of the 3 prongs would light the lightbulb, I then connected the two wires to the correct prongs of the new switch. I pushed the new switch into its setting and replaced the plastic portion on the refrigerator. Voila, success. The refrigerator door now comes on when its door is opened.
Thanks for the having the part and getting it at our door step in 3 days.
