timer stopped moving. wouldn't change cycles
remove control panel on top back by removing two screws on base. remove two screws in back and lift off control panel. unplug wires from timer. pull knob off shaft and remove two screws under it. timer comes out. reassemble making sure to put knob on with flat spot on shaft and knob in correct position so cycle is displayed properly. real easy job.

Washer stops on 1st spin/drain cycle
Unscrew timer/main control knob, then remove 2 spacers behind the knob. Remove 2 main control panel screws at each front lower corner. Rock panel back (pull slightly forward before rocking back to release plastic notches) to expose wire harness and timer. Remove 2 screws holding timer and disconnect timer electrical connector. Put new timer on with screws and attach connector correctly. Rock panel forward into place and reattach panel screws, spacers and knob. Note: Make sure lid switch is working properly before assuming the timer is bad. My switch is also intermittent and needed a shim on lid male plastic piece to engage the switch plate.

The washer does it's cycle thru the rinse but it does not drain or spin. I have already checked the coupler, made sure the pump is moving freely and the lid switch is working. But when it goes to spin mode all I hear is a buzzing at the motor and clicking at the timer.
PartSelect logo
Hello James, thank you for the question. In most cases this indicates the timer is not advancing to the next cycle and the Timer will need to be replaced, PartSelect Number PS11742012. Hope this helps!

When timer is set for a wash cycle, Water comes on for a couple of second's then just stops
For model number LTE6234DQ3

Hello and thank you for writing. Some of the newer units work on a 30 seconds delay, meaning you would set the timer it would start filling then stop for 30 seconds and then actually starts filling and washing. If this is not the case then indeed your timer or water inlet siphon PS11741230 might be faulty. You should check the part(s) for signs of damage or test with a multimeter, and replace the part(s) as needed. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.

Re: Washer timer 3948357. I see by the note that the part has "been replaced by manufacturer". Is it a like for like replacement? I have uninstalled the original faulty piece and i'd like to order the replacement. Can i use the replaced version and the two connectors will plug in? Are the settings the same as the original, wash/rinse cycles, will they align with the markings of the washer? Thanks, hedel

Would the timer stop the spin cycle form spinning? It fills with water and the knob does move in the spin cycle is does drain water it just doesn't spin in that part.
PartSelect logo
Hi Margaret, Thank you for your inquiry. There are a few parts on your washer that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the direct drive motor coupling, the door lock, the lid switch, the clutch assembly and the drive belt. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
