flame would stay on for a few minutes and then go out
Jumped out both limits and flame would still go out, grab the 2 plug gas valve solenoid and it would click and the flame glow coil would start back up. I ordered both solenoid valves and the flame would stay on longer but not like it used to. On time drying the flame should stay on all the way thru the cycle unless it got to hot and the cycling stat would take over. Ordered a cycling stat and now it heats like it used to. The clothes are hot now when they come out. If you jump out the limits and still the flame doesn't stay on like it used to, replace the gas valve solenoids and the cycling stat.

Dryer would heat up initially, but then turn off and not restart
I did reseach online and the first thing they told you to check were the thermostats and the thermal fuse, so I ordered those parts. I took the dryer apart, found the parts and tested them with my ohm meter and they all tested fine. I should have tested them initially before ordering them. Then I did more research and found out that if the thermostats are fine, it is more than likely the Coil Valves and there are 2. I also learned that you can test these parts and they may test correctly, but they will test differently when they are hot versues cold. I seemed confident that these would do the trick. I ordered the parts and replaced them, which was very easy to do. Then I put the dryer back together, started it and it worked perfectly!!!

PartSelect website was very help and I received the parts very quickly. I'm returning the parts that were not used for a refund.

Hello, how do i test my cycling thermostat. To see if this is what my problem is ??
For model number PDET910AYW

Hi Dawn, Thank you for your question. Disconnect the power source to your dryer before you conduct this or any other test. Either unplug the unit from the wall outlet, remove the appropriate fuse from the fuse box, or flip the appropriate breaker in the circuit breaker panel. Your dryer uses multiple thermostats to regulate its internal temperature. The cycle selected determines which thermostat is used. A cycling thermostat can be found somewhere in the path of air that is leaving the drum. It could be found on the blower wheel housing or inside the venting/exhaust system. Dryer thermostats are usually oval shaped and about an inch and a half in length. Also, there should be two wires leading to each thermostat. Label these wires before you remove them so that you are able to correctly reconnect them later. The wires leading to the thermostat are connected using metal slip on connectors. Remove the wires by pulling on the connectors, and not the wires themselves. It may be a good idea to use a pair of needle nosed pliers to help you. Set your multimeter to the R X 1 setting. Take each of your meter's probes and touch one to each terminal. You are testing for continuity, and you should receive a reading of either zero or infinity. At room temperature, testing the thermostat should produce a reading of zero. But if a thermostat is tested when it is heated to its limit, a reading of infinity should be produced. We strongly recommend that you test your thermostat at room temperature. If the test you conduct with your thermostat does not produce these results, then you should replace the component. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Hello, the drier had no heating and when i pulled the front of the drier apart to investigate i noticed the short wire coming from the heating element panel had appeared to get hot enough to melt and melted completely from the connector. Suggestions on causes thanks.

Hello Len, Thank you for your inquiry. First check the wiring for any loose or frayed connections. We would recommend checking the following parts to fix your issue: heating element, high limit thermal fuse, limit thermostat, cycling thermostat, and check the air flow system to make sure the vents are not clogged or partly clogged as it can cause the dryer to overheat and melt the wires. Hope this helps!

Hello Joe, Thanks for your question. The problem you are experiencing may be a result of a faulty cycling thermostat. Test it with a multi-meter for continuity and replace it if it is showing no continuity. Be sure to also clear out the air vent at least once a year as it may be clogged. I hope this helps.

My dryer is overheating and won't turn off at the timer
For model number PDET910AYW

Hello Clay, Thank you for the question. We suggest cleaning out the Vent Exhaust Hose, Lint Duct and Dryer cabinet first to make sure there is no build up and good air flow. You can also test the Thermostats with a Multimeter to check for the continuity. We hope this helps!

Hello Dallin, Thank you for the question. I suggest testing the Radiant Flame Sensor,PartSelect Number PS11741429. You can test the sensor with a multi meter to determine if it is defective and will need to be replaced. It should be testing 0 ohms to be working. Hope this helps!
