Lid Hinge Pin Specifications
This lid hinge pin allows a washing machine lid to pivot open and closed properly. The hinge pin may need to be replaced if the lid will not open or will not close. The part is white and made of plastic. This lid hinge pin is just over an inch long, is sold individually, and does not include the mounting screw (consider ordering mounting screw if it rusted or stripped). It is recommended to check the opposite lid hinge pin before ordering because hinges may wear at the same rate. Be sure to not tighten the mounting screw to pin too tightly to avoid breaking the new part.

Washer will fill and spin but will not advance. Will not agitate even when dial is moved to agitate. Stops spinning when door is raised so I'm guessing switch is ok. Help please.
For model number W205k

Hi Skip,
Thank you for your question. If your washer will not agitate, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the agitator, the lid switch, the water level switch, the motor, the belt and the transmission. We have included a link that you may reference on how to check these parts. Once you have determined the part you need, please call customer service. We look forward to hearing from you!

One of the plastic hinge pins brroke
I used a flat screw driver to push in on the releases so I could raise the top of the machine. I then used a torx tool to remove both parts of the hinge, and then used a #2 phillips screw driver, on the new screws I'd also ordered, to re-attach both of the hinge parts. Every thing went just as anticipated.

Dryer would'nt start / drum wouldn't turn
Unplugged Dryer; used screwdriver to push in and release two clips that hold top to front, tilted top back and removed two screws holding front to sides. Disconnected door switch and removed front .
Reached in above motor to remove belt from around pulley and tensioner wheel, Pulled drum and belt out of machine.
Removed approximately 10 screws around perimeter of blower housing and removed cover to access blower wheel. Removed outer lock ring from shaft and clamp from blower wheel hub, and removed blower wheel.
Took out tensioner assembly.
Disconnected wiring connector from motor.
Removed three screws that held blower housing to bottom and removed retainer around rubber motor mount at pulley end of motor. Lifted out motor, blower housing and vent pipe as one unit.
Removed 2nd outer lock ring from motor shaft.
Rotated motor frame 45 degrees to free the rubber mount from the blower housing.
Screwed new pulley onto new motor shaft and cleaned blower housing and vent pipe.
Assembly is reverse of disassembly.
Inspected and lightly greased the glides and inspected the idler wheels before reinstalling drum.
Dryer works perfectly.
Five to ten minutes also spent unscrewing and replacing timer knob and hinge pins on lid of matching washer Crosley cw22b5v.
Very simple repair.

Hinge pin on one side and Lid hinge on the other
First I popped the lid up to about 70 degrees. Then removed the two hinges. Then removed and replaced the two hinge pins. The key is to then just start the two screws for the hinges, slip the pins in and then tighten the hinge screws. Total time was 5 minutes.

Cover of washing machine wouldn't stay open, it fell on my wife's hand.
This is a very simple repair, I opened the top of the washer by inserting a screwdriver between the top and the washer cabinet. There are 2 clips on the front of washer, locate and push in to release top. Lift top with lid attached and remove the 2 screws holding the lid to the top of washer. Remove lid and replace hinge pin and hinge.
Replace lid, close top , all done. Total time about 15 minutes or so. Now the lid will stay up and not fall on someone.

Washer lid came off hinges
PROBLEM: The washer lid has two hinge pins that are attached to the lid with Phillips screws (one per pin). The plastic pin that inserts into the hinge broke off, allowing the lid to come free. SOLUTION: First, I removed the lid from the washing machine. Second, I used a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the original hinge pins from the lid. Third, I replaced the hinge pins. Fourth, I used a flat-head screw driver to pry up the washer top to obtain easier access to the hinge screws. Fifth, I removed the original hinges with a Phillips-head screwdriver (one screw per hinge). Sixth, I attached the new hinges to the washer lid. Finally, I attached the hinges (and lid) to the washer top, then lowered the washer top.

Washer lid became detached
I lifted top portion of the washer after removing rear attachment screws to obtain access to lid hinge and mounting pins. I unscrewed the broken hinges and pins and installed the new ones.
I believe I could have avoided removing the rear attachement screws by sliding a screw driver or flat pry bar under the front panel and lifted the front panel up. The job would have taken much less time.

lid hinge broken
I'm a 69 year old female. My husband isn't very handy so I decided to order the parts and do it myself. I didn't know how to take the machine apart so I just moved the washer part so I could unscrew the screw. I dropped the screwdriver between the adj. and side of the washer. I guess you won't be telling this story. I did get the parts on and the lid is working and so is the machine. Valerie Guyot

Exactly what I needed...easy installation for my husband
I was glad to get the parts but very very disappointed in the delivery time...15 days to get a package ca 275 miles...I could have walked there and maybe back in 15 days.

Easy repair. The proper parts were sent to me.
I had purchased the part and when it arrived I showed it to my husband. He looked at it and said how am I going to install it. We better wait until one of the son's come over. I told him about the video that instructed a person how to install the hinges. He watched it and did it.
Satisfied customer.

Just what I needed, but too expensive
I liked the fact that I could get a replacement hinge pin for my washing machine but the part was over $10 for a small piece of plastic and the shipping was close to $8 for something that weighed less than an ounce. I also had to reduce the diameter of the pin by using a little sandpaper as the new pin was slightly bigger therefore making it stiff to operate and I didn't want to stress it every time I opened the lid. It cost me close to $20, I figured cheaper than a repair man but had a hard time finding value in the overall cost as compared to what you actually got. I did like the video tutorial on how to replace the part, very helpful and was a snap to install.
Alma F - July 27, 2018

Simple repair
I just appreciate that a video is included with the e-mail about how to install the part. ordering was easy and shipping was great.
Gerald E - April 23, 2018

Lid hinge pin replacement.
Was necessary to sand down and smooth the pin as it was too large to fit in the other half of the original hinge assembly. As far as remove and replace no problem. If not too handy suggest getting both parts of hinge.
