Connection to heating element were loose.
I squeeze the cable connection to heating element so the thermal fuse does not cut the electrical current. The loose connection cause the thermal fuse to blow.

My dryer will start up fine including gas ignition. It will operate normally for 5+ minutes and then the flame will go out but the dryer will continue to run. The timer will not advance except in timed heat mode. I have tested the cycling thermostat and it appears to operate within specifications (continuity up to 155 degrees then interruption above). There is not any continuity on the thermal limiting sensor. Should there be? Would this faulty thermal limiting sensor cause the previously described scenario?
For model number LTG6234DQ0
Hello Kenneth,
Thanks for your question. The thermal limiting sensor should show continuity, and as such, we would advise replacing it. You may also want to test the gas coils to see if they are functioning properly, as that can also cause this issue.
I hope this helps.
