Easy repair
Screw was cross threaded at one time. Wire was not tight and caused it to burn into. Lady has had it 4 yrs. and bought it from Conn's Appliance. Have heard of several other people having the same problem. Any one with a dryer of this make and model should ck. the terminal block wires.

Loose electrical wiring in dryer shorted causing connection to melt.
Replaced power cord, terminal block, and all melted wiring. Checked the thermal fuse for zero resistance.
One of the power cord connections on the terminal block was loose. Screw on terminal block was cross threaded when installed. Took six years to smoke the wire.
Removed and replaced terminal block, power cord and black wire to timer.

My dryer had a 3 prong cord when we moved just a few days ago i had to switch it to a 4 prong cord. I looked it up on you tube how to wire it correctly and then i also did a model number search and checked to make sure it was done correctly also. I still can not get my dryer to run. I even replaced the thermal fuse thinking maybe that was it. I then got my multimeter out and checked the voltage on the wall outlet. I get 240 v from hot to hot and 120 v from netural to hot on both sides. I am assuming that my wall outlet is good. So i check the voltage on the on the terminal block. I checked from hot to hot and i get 240 v. I then checked from the black to neutral and i get 0 v. I then checked from red to neutral and i get 240 v witch i do believe i should not get. I am at a complete loss on where to go from here.

Hi Neil,
Thank you for your question. If the dryer will not start, I would check with an electrician to see if there is an issue with the dryer itself, the electrical outlet or the circuit breaker in your house. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

What do i need, terminal block wires get very hot
For model number 110.66752500
Hello Brenda, thank you for your question. The element wires could be getting too hot because the temperature of the element is getting too high or the switch is malfunctioning. We would recommend replacing the switch, element and wires. I hope this helps.
