Middle arm wash tube has broken and fallen onto the heating pipes in the bottom of the washer.
Removed the upper tray, inserted new tube into its “socket”, reinserted upper tray and clips. The only trouble I had was re-installing the clips, plus I had to cut a slit in the round piece which holds the tube in place. My washer is so old that the replacement part has been slightly re-designed so it was slightly tricky to reinstall it. Otherwise, a snap! By all means watch the video first!

My four piece washer arm fell apart on my 20 year old dishwasher
The new part was one piece and merely took unscrewing the holder and replace the part. Except for the screw being tough to remove, putting it back on was a snap!

Need new arm
Ordered & didn't work. No way to make it fit...watched video which did not help. Now stuck with dishwasher & old arm falling apart. My handyman is still trying to figure out how to make part fit...almost an hour to no avail.

The wash tube below the top rack had a large hole in it disrupting proper water flow
The video shows the repair man removing the top rack and turning it upside down to better access the wash tube. That approach does make it easier to take the screw out and put it back in, but it is not absolutely necessary. I took the hanger loose that supports the front bell shaped end and then removed the screw that holds the opposite end along with spray blade. The center section of my wash tube was made of soft rubber enabling each end to be removed to facilitate access to the hanger. However the replacement tube was solid and therefore unable to accept the hanger support without cutting it so that it could be flexed to get around the new tube. I watched the video to see that the hanger in that instance was already split on that model. So, I made a cut in the hanger at the top of the circle between the two hooked extenders that attach to the rack. I flexed the hanger around the tube and reattached it to the front of the rack. Then I put the screw in the other end with the spray blade sandwiched between the rack and the other end of the wash tube. That assembly fits over a long threaded plastic tube that keeps it all contained and allows the blade to turn and spray the water freely inside.

The original tube was worn out, needed replacement.
Whirlpool (who bought KitchenAid years ago) changed the design a bit. The original was a rubber tube, the new part is a solid piece of plastic. The fitting that attaches to the spinner is a little different as well, which required my cutting about 1/2" of the sleeve that extends from the spinner to get the new part to sit flush. After that, it worked great.

water delivery tube was worn out. I ordered a new one
Old style tube was an assembly of 3 separate parts, so it could come apart to pass through the holder bracket easily. New style tube was a single piece. The moldings on either end are too large to slip through the holder bracket circular ring. Apparently, the newer style holder brackets have a slit or break in the ring. Not so with the older bracket I had. I merely cut my own slit at the top of the ring on my old bracket, allowing me to spread the ring wide enough to allow either end of the single-piece tube to pass through. There is very little pressure on the holder bracket ring - it's just a holster for the tube. So the slit does not affect performance. Job done in 30 min.

dishes were not completely clean
removed the clips from the upper rack. Removed the rack, turned it upside down on my kitchen table. Unscrewed the damaged tube replaced the new tube. Put the rack on the tracks and replaced the clips. Ta Da. I'm a hero. So easy even a almost 70 year old Grandma could do it. Thank you so much. Your web site made it so easy for me.
