Soap Dispenser Lid Gasket Deteriorated & Leaking
I used the screwdriver to pry the old lid off of the horizontal pin upon which it rotates. One must be careful before removing the old lid to note how the return spring is deployed. The short legs on the spring must be in the lip of the lid before you snap the new lid onto the horizontal pin. It was helpful to lubricate the two catches on

After the lid is snapped into place and the short legs of the coil spring are in the lip of the lid, use needle nose pliers to attach the other end of the coil spring to the pillar where it was before you removed the old lid. There are videos showing how to do this on Youtube. The spring part is a little tricky. The video makes it look a bit easier than it is..

Not dispensing detergent
Followed instructions as the videos on this page show.
I ordered a dishwasher soap dispenser "lid assembly". When it arrived, it was not an assembly at all but only a lid. I had to reorder a pin and spring, When i finally had every thing, it was an easy repair.

Inserting Lid Spring
Had to be careful positioning the spring without breaking the hinge pin. Requires a certain amount of patience.
Got the new door and tried to put it on. The door went on very easily. However, there's a spring that opens the door when the main wash cycle comes around. I never did get that spring right. None of the drawings showed the correct position and after an hour of trying to get it to work right, I gave up. The door comes open slightly (b

The detergent door won't open fully
Sorry, probably need a spring as the door is fine. While reading other stories about how hard the spring was to get right, I assumed the spring was part of the door assembly. I'll be calling and returnint the part.

Soap Lid Pin Broken
Snap the old lid off, remove the pin & spring & install new Pin & Spring. Very easy. Thanks To Parts Select got the right parts.
Replacing the pin with the spring is a little tricky, it was hard to hold it. And the little plastic pin breaks real easy too, its hard to get the lid to snap in place without breaking the pin.

We have a problem with the soap dispenser. The soap is not coming out. Can you help?
For model number DU929PFGB2
Hello Macario,
Thanks for your question. This could be due to a problem with the lid spring, part number PS11744874, the latch kit, part number PS382922, or the lid, part number PS11741342. There is a kit with all of these parts under PSPS370872 which may be useful for you.
I hope this helps.

Regarding the soap dispenser lid before i buy it. What is it that make the soap dispenser lid/cover open when the door is closed and it is latched shut.
For model number 66515701891
Hello Stephen, Than you for contacting us. This is controlled by a few parts. I suggest checking the following parts: PS11746201 Timer, and PS392727 Lower Detergent Dispenser Actuator Assembly. Good luck with your repair!
