Oven would heat up very slowly and not reach more than 325 *F
I purchased all the likely suspects. It was a corroded lower heating element that was faulty. Fixed the burnt out light bulb for good measure while I was in there.

The Range took forever to achieve the proper heating temperature with an inability to maintain a steady heat
I removed the bottom drawer, unplugged the Range and pulled it out to expose the rear cover panel. Using a nut driver (a screw driver can be used), I removed the rear panel to expose the Thermal fuse located almost dead center in the back of the Range. Unplug the two wires and loosen the screw holding it in position. Replace the thermal fuse, plug the two wires into the new part and replace the rear cover panel. Return the Range to its original position and plug it in. The job is done in less than 30 minutes.

The front 2 burners seem to take much longer to heat up to desired temp but the back burners seem to work fine. What could be the problem? Thanks
For model number RF362LXTT0

Hi Tracy, Thank you for your question. If the front 2 burners are not heating correctly the issue would be the burner switches and you will need to replace them. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

The oven is overheating. Set to 350 degrees and oven heats to 400 degrees or more. Replaced the temp sensor two days ago. Worked for a day.

Hello Brian, Thank you for the question. The next part to check would be the Safety Thermostat, PartSelect Number PS11740991. If this part is defective it may also burn the Temperature sensor . Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!

My oven is burning top of food on bake. The broil element is staying on in bake mode. What might be the problem and how do i diagnose it?
For model number mer8880as
PartSelect logo
Hello Richard, thank you for your question. The first part we would suggest testing is the sensor PartSelect Number: PS11749737. Testing the temperature sensor probe on your oven is easy. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. If that part is tested and is functioning correctly, the issue would be the oven control board Part Number: PS11753216. I hope this helps!

Oven won't turn on. Says contact service fae0 cooling fan speed to low
For model number WEC530H0DW0
PartSelect logo
Hi Cyrus, Thank you for your question. If you are getting the FAE0 error code, then there could be an issue with either the airflow in the oven, the oven cooling fan or the wiring connected to it. To try and fix the issue, turn the circuit breaker off for one minute and then turn it back on. Wait at least one minute to see if the error code comes up again. If it does, you may have to have a repairman come out and see what is causing the issue. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Oven says it is 350 degrees on control, but does not bake very fast. Set temperature higher but still does not seem to be hot enough. Bottom element turns red momentarily. Would this be a sensor problem? Or could this be a thermo fuse problem?
For model number 665.95172300

Hello Fred, thank you for your inquiry. If the temperature sensor inside the oven is not working as intended, it can cause the oven to not heat to the correct temperature. I hope this information helps!

My bake element gets warm, but not hot. The broil works perfectly, temperature sensor works, but bake element will not glow red, only gets warm to the touch. I replaced the element thinking that that may be the problem, but same issue. Terminal tested and appears in good working order. All other functions work. Could it be the safety thermostat causing the issue?
For model number WFE320M0ES2

Hello Tyler, thank you for your question. According to our research, if you have already tested the temperature sensor then the issue is probably with the Thermostat, part number PS11740991. Customer service is available 7 days a week if you need help placing an order. Glad to be of assistance!

Oven heats but not to the input setting. The control board shows 350 degrees F, but a mechanical oven thermometer reads 300 degrees. I have replaced the control unit and the temperature probe (both removed ones check good). I have checked the thermostat, it has continunity. I have checked both elements to ground, checked their resistance, upper element is 16 ohms, bottom element is 32 ohms. The oven was working fine until a month ago. Now it takes 45 minutes to reach 300 degrees.
For model number GR673LXSQ1

Hi John, thank you for reaching out. Since you have checked most of the common parts that may cause this issue, we would recommend checking the convection element, part number PS11747302, as it is most likely faulty and may need to be replaced. In a convection oven, the convection element works with the other heating elements to heat the air circulating inside the oven. If the convection element is burned out, the oven will not heat evenly. Glad to be of assistance!

I have an oven not turning on. The stove top elements work but no heat in the oven at all. Will the safety thermostat (part #wp3196548 manufacturer #) only turn off the oven or does it turn off the stove top as well? If it turns off the stove top at the same time then this will not be the issue.
For model number RF 3020XGW0

Hi Ginny, Thank you for your inquiry. If the oven is not heating you will need to check both oven heating elements and the oven thermostat. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

The hot surface light stays on all the time. We had a repairman diagnose and and while we thought it would be an infinite switch that needed to be replaced, he instead said it was the thermostat sensor for the left front burner. I have looked through countless websites for replacement parts for this model and cannot find any part like that. This part came up when i plugged it into your website. Is this perhaps what the technician was referring to? Or is there a thermostat sensor for each individual burner?
For model number WFE525C0BB0
PartSelect logo
Hi Irene, Thank you for the question. The sensor for the element is only sold with the element its self. If you look at the element there is a probe that protrudes into the middle of the element, this would be the sensor. Hope this helps!
