This surface burner knob is used in ranges and ovens. The knob allows you to control and adjust the temperature of the surface burner on your range. Note that this knob accepts a D-shaped shaft. If your knob does not turn properly, gets stuck, or is too loose, changing this part can solve your problem. No tools are needed for this easy replacement. Is there a stainless steel d shaped shaft knob that i can use to replace the knobs that came with my gas cook top model kgcs166gss1.

Replaced surface elements and knobs
Removed surface elements by pulling straight out of electrical fitting. Replaced with surface elements purchased online by pushing directly into electrical connector.
Back of burner knob larger than post on stove. These were returned to PartSelect for credit.
All items ordered arrived with a day of placing order - waiting on confirmation that the knobs have been received.
I will definitely use PartSelect in the future.

Burner knob appeared to have been accidentally melted by placing a hot pot on top of it.
I took the melted knob off, located the part # went online and found this site. I immediately found the correct burner knob, ordered it, and it came very quickly to my home! I just popped it right on the cooktop, and it's as good as new.
