Hi Rita, Thank you for your question. Any material that has boiled over onto the element, should be wiped off with a damp cloth immediately. To dry it, turn the element on. After the element cools, wipe it lightly with cooking oil. For elements that are very dirty, you will need to use some cleaning powder or a scouring pad to clean it. We hope this helps.
