Maytag dryer timer
The timer is exactly the same as the old one, even though the dryer is over 25 years old, but still runs well. The video helped very much and the job took less than 30 minutes. I have replaced a few other parts on this dryer with parts bought from PartSelect and they all were exactly the right ones. Again the videos made it very easy to install the new parts.

Dryer Timer Failed
Repair was simple after I found out how to get access (via 4 screws on the top edge). The plastic plug at the dial center was pried out & screws securing timer dial removed. The screws securing the timer were behind the dial plate. With the old timer out the wires were carefully swapped and the system reassembled.

Timer does not advance in both "auto dry" modes. The timer does advance in the "time dry" mode.
For model number GDG410
Hi Dennis,
Thank you for your question. If your dryer timer is not advancing on a few of the cycles, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the cycling thermostats and the timer. We have included a link that you may reference on how to check these parts. Once you have determined the part you need, please feel free to call customer service. We are open 7 days a week and anyone will be happy to assist you. We look forward to hearing from you!
