Ice cutter not worming up. Could this be thermo or transformer?
For model number kitchenaid kuis18nnts1
Hello Larry, thank you for your question. Chances are the heater wires that are part of the cutting grid have failed or are broken. he cutter grid is located within the main unit of the ice maker, and contains thin, heated wires that slice the ice into cubes that are then deposited in the ice bin. If the cutter isn't warming up to cut the ice into cubes the cutter should be replaced. I hope this helps!

Unit will not stop making ice. What part shuts the production off and how can i check or replace?
For model number KUIS18NNTS0
Hello Schipp, Thank you for the question. I suggest testing the Ice Maker Bin Thermostat, PartSelect Number PS11740332. At room temperature the resistance should be 10,200 to 12,600 ohms resistance. To get a more accurate reading you will need to place the thermistor in ice water for approximately 5 minutes. At 32 degrees Fahrenheit, the reading should be 30,200 to 37,000 ohms resistance and at 0 degrees Fahrenheit the reading should be 81,000 to 99,000 ohms resistance. Hope this helps!

My free standing KitchenAid ice machine continues to make ice when bin is full. Is this a bin thermistor problem or an evaporator thermistor problem? Bin thermistor tests at 17000ohms at room temp and 35000 ohms in ice water. I have not tested the evaporator thermistor.
For model number KUIS18NNTB2
Hi Harry,
Thank you for your question. If your ice maker continues to make ice when the bin is full, there are a few things you will need to check. Make sure the ice bin is level. If it is not, the ice maker will not work correctly and will continue to make ice. If the bin sensor is blocked or dirty, the ice maker will continue to make ice. If the sensor is blocked by a scoop or another item in the ice bin remove it.
If the sensor is dirty, it can be cleaned with a soft towel and some soapy water. If the accelerated ice feature on your ice maker is on, then a greater quantity of ice will be made. We hope this helps! If you have any questions, please let us know.

Ice slab is forming be won’t slide down for harvesting. I get an error code with the on/off light and fast ice light flashing
For model number Whirlpool GI15NDXZB1 ice maker
Hello Mike, thank you for contacting us. We would recommend checking the transformer, part number PS11755510. It supplies power to the ice maker pump and display panel lights. If this does not help, the issue is probably related to the pump, part number PS16555297, and the control board, part number PS12346592. Please reach out to customer service if you need help placing an order. Glad to be of help!
My ice maker makes too much ice and leaks onto the floor. What controls ice production, the bin thermostat or the ice control thermister?
For model number kuic15nlts0
Hi Ramses, thank you for reaching out. Based on our understanding of the issue, we would suggest that you check the bin thermostat, part number PS11755741, and replace it if necessary. We hope this solves your problem!
