Timer quit working
Called 800 number to make sure I had right part. There were two series and she was very helpful. Ordered Thursday after business hours and received by standard delivery on saturday. Unscrewed 5 screws. Unplugged two plugs on switch and two more screws. Plugged new switch in and had working like new in 15 minutes. Very pleased.

Can you tell me if i'm correct.

I am sure the problem is the timer, and have found one on this site. I have replaced a timer in the past, however i tried removing the knob and am unable to do so; normally they pull off but dispite prying to the point of fear of breaking it does not budge. Cannot see any screws in the back to remove the knob .Any suggestions? thank you, winton forsberg
For model number LAT2500AAE Maytag
Hello Winton, We would suggest that you gently remove the knob with pliers, because the clip that snaps it in place may be broken. Use the pliers for force, but do not turn the knob with them. If you feel like you risk damaging the switch contact your manufacturer for further assistance.
