the plastic piece that went over the metal timer D post cracked. Was not able to turn on timer without pliers
I ordered the timer base knob, timer knob insert cap and the timer dial skirt. We put all three pieces together and put it on the D metal timer post. Good as new!
Dryer Time Knob split at Insert and couldn't be used.
Inserted the Timer Dial Skirt onto the metal timer post aligning flat side, then the Timer Knob into the Skirt, and finally pushed the Timer Knob insert Cap on top aligning 4 prongs. Done!
Ordered the part..... waited a few days fro it to arrive, (it came quite quick considering). Sat down in my easy chair and assembled the knob and gave it to my wife to slip it on the dryer. Whew, I was beat.... hehe
Wow it was the easiest thing I have ever done.. I am NOT a DIY person.. Company wanted $108.00 to do, it cost me less than $20.00 and 2 minutes.. I have told everyone I know!!! Thanks
hey this was so easy that 6 year old could put the parts together..I loved this! No repairman and no going to an appliance store and getting frustrated.Easy as pie!
Replaced the igniter and the primary coil. Igniter now glowed but no gas. Replaced the secondary coil and bingo, it worked. Sounds like a common issue. I'd order both coils together and the igniter if you have the same problem.
I ordered a new timer skirt and also a new timer knob(only to be safe) and they arrived the next day! I watched the instruction video on your website and it showed me how to take apart the skirt knob and cover. It was so easy. I reassembled the three parts which took about 2 minutes and put it back on the silver post that holds the tim

They sent me the part, but it does not have a d shaft. It just spins around on the d post???

Hi Don,
Thank you for contacting us. Checking the model number I am showing the part of the knob that has the D shape to grip the shaft is the Timer Dial Skirt part number PS11741104. If you wish to set up a return for this knob and a new order for the skirt please do not hesitate to give us a call. You are also welcome to visit our new Live Chat, Monday to Friday from 8AM to 4PM EST

This part will fit down on the metal of my dryer dial, but it sits up so there is about a 1/2" clearance from actually being seated on the machine. It is workable; however, it is smaller than the original dial. My original piece is from 1999 so I am guessing the dimensions changed since then?
Hello Judy,
Thanks for your question. You may need the timer dial skirt and the timer knob cap in order to get this part to fit, though this may vary from model to model.
I hope this helps.
Control knob is moving but sometime machine is not working at all, i have to pull hard the knob or put a penny to help it. Is it timer issue or control is out. Thankx

Hello Thai, Thank you for your inquiry. We would recommend checking the following parts to fix your issue: lid check switch, lid switch assembly and the timer switch. You can test the parts with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, there are YouTube videos available to assist you. Hope this helps!

Our dryer time dial has become very sloppy and you have to sometimes guess what setting it is actually on. I read a comment someone made about getting the wrong part and i just want to make sure that i order the correct part. Do i need just the skirt or the entire knob and cap?Thank you
For model number MDE3500AYW
Hello MJ, thank you for your question. The timer knob for your model comes in two parts. The skirt, that has the indicator line on it that points to the selection you're on, which is Part Number: PS11741055 and the rubber grip Part Number: PS11739297 that you would grab. The cap has been discontinued, but can be reused from the original knob. You can see pictures and installation videos of these parts on our site. We would recommend replacing both parts to fix this issue. I hope this helps!

How do I know if I need a whole new tuner or just the knobs? My washer won’t advance in the regular wash but it works fine in delicate.
