Timer would not advance

Timer failed
Removed the screws on the top of the panel, disengaged the wiring plug and repluged it into the new timer, removed the knob from the panel and replace the new timer. Replaced the the knob and put the screws back in, done!

Timer would not go through Complete Cycle
First thing was to unplug the washer. Than take the 4 screws that holds face plate on.Pulled the cap that hold the timer knob, pulled the clip. Used a socket to take the screws out that holds the timer to the face plate, unpluged the wiring harness, replaced the control and wiring harness, replaced the knob and clip, replaced the face pla

Washer would not advance from cycle to cycle. it would wash but not spin.
First off I need to say from the time I discovered the problem to the time it was fixed was less then 24 hr. I ordered the part and the next morning at 9:30 am it was here. Unplug first!! Removed 4 screws to panel then the knob, then disconnected the wire harness, removed mounting screws, replaced part then put all back together.

First, using a phillips head screwdriver, I removed the four screws on the top of the control panel and tilted it forward to access the timer. Next, I removed the button on the face of the control knob and removed the retaining clip. Next, I unscrewed the screws holding the timer on the control panel using a nutdriver. I then pulled th
... Read moree wire harness off of the broken timer and discarded it. I then plugged the wire harness into the new timer, placed the new timer back in place and secured it with the two screws. I then tilted the front panel back up into place and secured it with the four screws. Finally, I replaced the knob, retaining clip, and cover. The washer works like it is brand new! Gotta love a good ol' Maytag!!!!! It was easy and I'm a girl!

It washes awhile stops then starts back some times you can restart the machine and it will wash full cycle

Model # found as above you thought was timer problem. It washes awhile stops then starts back sometimes can restart machine it will wash full cycle do you have one that will fit and the price.

Tub fills. Timer doesn't move. Clothes don't wash. Only 1 setting lets it spin and drain.

Stuck on spin cycle. Just kept spinning. Did a reset and spin light is still flashing. Would this be a timer issue or a control board issue?

Thank you for your question. If your washer is stuck on the spin cycle and will not advance, the part that fixes the issue most of the time is the lid lock latch assembly. The lid lock latch assembly supplies power to the timer and motor circuits. Before removing and testing this part, unplug the washer from the electrical outlet. After you have removed the lid lock latch assembly, begin by ensuring that no levers or actuators are damaged or sticking and that the lid lock latch assembly is being activated mechanically when the lid is closed. If no issues are found when performing the above checks, remove the lid lock latch assembly and set your multimeter to the Rx1 setting. While pressing and holding the lid lock latch assembly button, place the probes on the assembly's terminals, you should receive a reading of zero. If you receive a different reading, you will need a replacement lid lock latch assembly. If the lid lock latch assembly is fine, there are some other parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will also need to check the electronic control board, the water level hose, the drain pump and the water inlet valve.
