This part is the replacement dispenser lever retainer for your refrigerator. It is made of metal and is approximately 2 inches long and ½ an inch wide. The bottom half of the dispenser lever retainer holds in the pivot points of the ice and water arms. If it breaks, the arms will be loose and can shake around. The top half springs the ice and water arms back into the original position, and if the retainer is broken, they will not be able to do this. The dispenser lever retainer is found behind the dispenser trim and can be removed with a ¼ inch nut driver. This part is sold individually and is an OEM part.

The repair that the repairmen didn't want to touch... but it was not a problem.
That little clip fixed what we thought was going to be a permanent downgrade to our fridge. Two repairmen didn't want to touch the problem. I'd already changed the water tube (that they didn't want to either), so I figured I'd take a look around at the water dispenser lever that wasn't returning and therefore wasn't shutting off the water. We'd been having to pull the lever back by hand. Like I said, two different repairmen acted like it was experimental brain surgery to fix it. I took a good look, saw that one of the tines on our levers retaining/clip was broken (the one that brings the water lever back, obviously), found it on PartSelect, ordered it, and put it in. It wasn't the easiest job in the world, but it wasn't the hardest either. Why these repairmen were afraid of it baffles me. Aren't the supposed to have the know-how? Anyway, I replaced the clip, and the lever comes back to the proper place, shuts off like it's supposed to, and we're happy as hell!

It works
Part does what it needs to but long term I doubt it will last as long as original. Seemed a bit thinner than the original which failed from fatigue.

Fixed my problem
This part replaced the original which broke after 13 years. The part works great - just seems a little expensive for a small piece of stamped metal.

Ice Door broken letting warm air into Ice Maker system which kept freezing up.
I didn't have to buy a new Ice door kit. The part on the Refrig. door I needed I found out was unavailable. The door parts (Ice door parts and the asembly for the water unit) screws into that part. I found out that I would have to replace the whole refrig. door which was $900.00. I took every apart got me some pvc glue used it on the door
... Read more and bought the original screw online with some other assorted parts,Door switch, etc. and was able to repair in about an hour. Some of the parts are very fraigle so you have to be very careful or you will be buying some new replacement parts. The new nickel and dime parts are expensive. My Icemaker was leaking where the Ice was clumping together in the bin, and when I checked the unit was $125.00. I found a new one and replaced it for about half that price. I am now very happy! (a least until the next project.)
ice maker and water dispenser would not work due to switch clamps being broken off the control plate
remove the front cover. everything else is a quick disconnect type of connection. Nothing to it! I would remove the cover and check these connections anytime the dispenser does not work. Look for broken or disconnected switches. This reapir took me a couple of minutes whereas the repair guy wanted almost 200 bucks to do this job. Parts ra

For model number KSRP25FNWH00
Hi Rosa,
Thank you for your question. The part number listed under your model number for the water dispenser fitting and tube assembly is PS886371. If you would like to place an order for it, you may order it either online or by calling our customer service line and anyone will be happy to assist you. When replacing the water lines, also check the water pressure. If it is too high you will need to adjust it. We hope this helps! If you have any questions, please let us know.
