The coupling screw will not come out what do you do then.
For model number 843 514-4371
Hi Michael,
Thank you for your question. If the screw is stuck, try and use a small pair of pliers around the head of the Phillips screw to loosen it. Another to try would be a rubber band. Place the rubber band over the stripped screw and then place your screwdriver over over the band and apply enough force to see if this will loosen it. If possible, try and fasten a bolt on the head of the screw with a strong glue or adhesive. Any type of epoxy glue is best. Once the glue has dried and set, use a wrench to turn the nut. This may loosen the screw enough for you to remove it. We hope this helps! Good luck with the repair!

Ice maker would run but not dispense ice
Removed the ice bin and turned it over. Removed the old coupling and replaced with the new one, reusing the screw that holds it in place. Then removed the cover plate over the drive shaft that comes out of the door. Pulled out the old shaft and removed the plastic ring that keeps stuff from falling into the motor area. Put the ring onto the new shaft and slowly put the new shaft down into the door until it seated in the motor assembly. Replaced the cover plate with the nut driver and voila! The Ice Age has returned. An easy fix once I determined that the drive shaft end was worn where it engages the coupling, causing it to slip and not move the ice dispenser arm.
Removed coupling screw and coupling and replaced with new coupling and screw. Check your shaft as well , I didn’t and had to order and wait on IT to arrive before I could complete the job.
