Sorry, we couldn't find any existing installation instruction that matched.
Front bearing had worn so that the fan vibrated causing the noise.
I removed the cardboard back then using a nut driver removed the three mounting screws, removed the old fan/motor and installed the new one, installing the three screws and replacing the cardboard cover.

My big problem was getting the right parts. Don't ever order refrigerator parts using the refrigerator model number. I did and got the wrong part, sent it back and talked to the parts lady and ordered again describing the error, the needed parts shape etc and she sent me the exact part I had sent back. I sent it back and removed the fan motor to get the part number, called and ordered by number and got the right one. Hallelujah!

Our refrigerator is getting extremely hot between the doors and we took off the back panel and the fan is not running. Would this be the correct part to replace?
PartSelect logo
Hi Danny, thank you for your question. It could be this part. This part is at the bottom of most appliances and keeps the condenser coils cool. The condenser coils are what the freon that cools your appliance travels through. If you mean that you have taken off the back panel wall inside of your freezer, that would actually be an evaporator fan motor. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

My refrigerator makes a noise at the bottom behind the freezer trays. At the time, the noise goes away for less than 20 seconds and starts making noise for a long time. I am thinking it is the condenser motor and/or the fan. Please help?
For model number WRF991BOOM01

Hello Taher, Thanks for your question. This may be due to the fan blades or the condenser fan motor. Try turning the fan blade by hand to see if it is moving freely. You could also test the fan motor with a multimeter to see if it has continuity. Replace it if it fails continuity. I hope this helps.

My fridge has a loud noise coming from the base of the refrigerator (model is freezer in top) and i believe it’s likely the compressor fan, however the noise is the only issue. The fridge and freezer are cooling correctly. Does this sound like the issue is the compressor fan or could it be something else?

Hi Jay, Thank you for your question. You would have to take a look in your compressor area to determine what is causing the noise for you. It could be the condenser fan motor or the fan blades. Perhaps something is lodged in your fan blades and that is creating the noise? Maybe the fan blades just need to be cleaned of dust and dirt? I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

This refrigerator has been working 7 years. Recently it is really noisy. When open the door, specially when pulling out the drawer, i can hear a big noise. I unplug the refrigerator and wait for one day. I plug it in again. At the beginning, no noise, after a few days, the noise comes again. I tried three times, it behaviors the same. Based on your experience, what is the problem, how should i fix it? Thanks you so much.

Hi Kevin, Thank you for your question. If your refrigerator is noisy, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check evaporator fan motor and blade and the condenser fan motor and blade. We hope this helps! Good luck with the repair!

Freezer won't cool and fridge side now has started getting warmer too. Both hang around 37 degrees.
For model number JS42NXFXDW01

Hello Wayne, Thank you for the question. If the compressor is still running normally and there is no frost or ice build up, we suggest checking the fans by the compressor and at the back of the freezer. The fans too to circulate the air over the coils and through the appliance to keep it cool. You can also check the Thermistor with a Multimeter to make sure it is operating properly. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!

Was told I need a SS rebuild. replace - compressor, evaporator, heat exchanger, drain pan heater plus tubing and possible thermostat. Our side by side kitchen aid refrigerator/freezer is developing condensation and leaking. The area it is leaking from is not over a drip pan. It is not coming from the water supply system. What might be causing this?
For model number KSC24C8EYY02
PartSelect logo
Hello Scott, thank you for your question. We would recommend checking the door gaskets to be sure they are sealing the doors properly. Sometimes a slight leak through the gasket will cause warm air to come into the unit and cause condensation. If that isn't the issue, and the seals are sealing the doors well, we would recommend checking the defrost heater, and thermostat which are PartSelect Number: PS11750673, and PartSelect Number: PS11727953. I hope this helps!
