Water won't drain, slight water leak, unbalances frequently
My washer was sitting in a safety drain pan which made it difficult to work on due to the height of the pan walls. Managed to tilt it back and support on blocks well enough to access underside. Found two of the four leveling feet had fallen off, which was the ultimate cause of the problems from the cumulative effect of running unbalanced over time. Reinstalled these feet and had to remove rust to do so. I added two more nuts to the front feet to hold the adjustment tight. After adjusting to level, washer ran great and was no longer prone to unbalance. Procedure: Remove front panel- two lower screws and pry/pull off. Remove hoses at pump. Remove 3 mounting screws from pump. Remove belt from pump pulley. Push motor towards center of washer to release tension from other belt, and remove belt. Replace with new belt. Replaced old drain hose to pump and replaced all hose clamps with new. Install pump, replace pump belt. Level the washer. Replace front panel. Take the opportunity while the washer is open to clean out the dust from inside!

Water leak due to split in 35 year old hose.
Replaced hose. Really appreciate Instructions, especially from other customers. Only thing I didn't have was new hose clamps, since this Maytag washer is 35 years old! (Love it! Works great!) Old hose clamps were absolutely rusted beyond any possible recovery, so I had a little trouble getting them off until I sprayed them with penetrating oil. Buying local clamps not a problem.

Washer was leaking water at hose to tub connection
Replaced the hose and new clamps. Rans washer through complete cycle. Found that during the spin cycle the tub seemed un-balanced and was making a metallic ticking sound.
Found that the thre struts which attach to the tub were loose-- especially the front nut. Found two halves of lead washer laying on bottom of washer cabinet. The washer had fallen out from behind the front strut and nut. Placed the washer back between the strut and tub and tightened the nut and the metallic sound was gone as well as most of the tub swaying during the spin cycle. Tightened all three strut's nuts. Ran washer through and additional cycle and washer was back to normal. The loose nuts seem to have caused excessive tub sway which in turn put extra stress on the tub hose connection to cause the original leak. Machine is 25 years old and still washing well!

water was leaking onto the floor
I removed the front of the washer (two screws) and found the drain hose to be cracked near the top where it attached to the drum. A hardware store hose was inadequate because it crimped when bent in an S shape as required, so I ordered the proper part amd installed with two new clamps.
I bought a 5/15 socket driver to do up the clamps, and all is fine.

Washer leaking at the front.
Our Maytag (A308) washer is now about 29 yrs old. I put in a PartSelect water valve 3 yrs ago. When it started leaking recently I found the cuplrit to be a flexible hose to the outer basis. The front came off easily (two screws at the bottom) and the hose clamps required some cleaning. I recommend purchasing new clamps. Under 30 minutes to get it running again.

Hi Serge, Thank you for your question. If the washer is not spinning, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which ones are causing the issue. You will need to check the belt, the glide and spring kit, the brake assembly, the lid switch assembly, the tub bearing kit and the drain pump. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
