Wash cycle quit working - replaced timer

The instructions from others on this web site helped out greatly. Changing out the timer was quite straight forward. After removing the (3) screws on the panel cover, and the (2) holding the timer in place I simply unplugged the old cords, and plugged them in to the new timer. The only tricky part was removing the button skirt but a couple of You Tube videos showed the proper technique. I used a pair of needle nose pliers to pull out the plastic piece in the back of the timer that was attached to the button skirt

The timer went out on the washer

I had to drill and strap a piece of strapping iron on because the new timer had a broken tab on it.
