Can I purchase the pulley minus the motor? Or is it a full package deal only? I only need a new pulley.
For model number MAV6000AWW
Hi Ben,
Thank you for your inquiry. You can only get the motor pulley with the whole motor. It is not sold separately. I hope this helps. Good luck with your repair.

Attempting to troubleshoot an issue with my washer...it seems that the motor is not moving during the agitation cycle. it is running for the spin cycle it seems. could you give me a clue if that is an issue with the motor itself, or do i need to look at something else first? it has been squeaking loudly when it brakes for some time as well...
For model number PAV2300AWW
Hello Jen, Thank you for your inquiry. I would check the following parts first: agitator auger and post assembly, drive belt, transmission pulley and bearing kit, agitator base, and the transmission. Hope this helps!

On spin cycle tub starts turning with screeching sound. After a revolution or two motor shuts off and smokes. Removed belt, motor sometimes spins on it's own sometimes spins with a little help. Without a load when the motor spins, it spins fine. The drain pump turns freely but turns with some resistance.
once the brake is released the tub spins with ease. 1- is the drain pump supposed to spin free like a top or is slight resistance normal? 2- does this sound like a damaged motor. thanks in advance for any help. god bless you! garyn
For model number MAV7260BWW
Hi Gary, thank you for your question. No the drain pump should not spin freely, you should have resistance. You actually should not be trying to spin it manually if possible because that can sometimes burn out the motor inside of the pump. For screeching you might want to check your motor but you may also want to take a look at your transmission pulley kit and your transmission assembly itself. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

My Maytag washer stops while agitating. We had the control rebuilt, and put in a new lid switch. Sometimes it blows the breaker and sometimes it’s the machine fuse.Starts, fill with water but stops during agitation
For model number MAV975AWW
Hello John, thank you for writing. This is likely due to either a faulty Transmission Pulley and Bearing, part number PS2003651, or Motor with Pulley, part number PS11738839 for your model. Good luck with your repair!

My motor runs for spin but not for agitate. Does this motor reverse and if so which connections do what.
For model number LNC6764
Hi Lee,
Thank you for your question. If the washer is not agitating, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which ones are causing the issue. Here is a link from our website that you may reference on what parts to check, https://www.partselect.com/AdvancedModelSymptoms.aspx?ModelNum=LNC6764A71&mfgModelNum=&fkMfgID=1&ModelMasterID=146262&PID=34. Also, here is a link to a video from YouTube that you may reference on the motor, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XlaHSZFGzp0. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Before I purchase the motor I had a question. The washer fills but does not agitate, I checked under the washer and the motor does not spin easily. Is the motor pulley supposed to spin freely or is there supposed to be a lot of resistance and could that be my issue?
For model number PAV3300AWW
Hello Dustin, Thank you for the question. The Pulley would have some resistance. It will only spin easy and freely when the motor is powered on and operating. We hope this helps!

Is motor copper or alum
For model number Mvw6230hw
Hello Joseph, thank you for your question. This motor is not made of copper. There are parts inside such as the field are made with copper, however the outer portion of the motor is not aluminum but a metal such as tin or a steel substrate. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you.

My machine does the agitate cycle fine, it drains the water fine but when its supposed to spin, it doesnt spin instead it agitates again. I already changed the transmission pulley and bearing kit but it didnt fix the problem
For model number PAVT234AWW
Hello Jose, Thank you for contacting us. I suggest to check the following parts: PS2002890 Lid Switch Kit, PS11738839 Motor with Pulley, as well as PS11738882 Drive Belt - 51 inches long. One of these three parts is most likely the issue. Good luck with your repair!

The belt and pulley on the drive motor broke
unplug the washer. Removed the top of the washer by removing the hold scews and tabs on the upper back. Place a scew drive under the front and pry up to release the snap tabs. Then the front panel by removing the two screws on top and lift the panel up to expose the motor at bottom front. Remove the motor cover (plastic)and motor from the base, replace the pulley on the shaft (you may need to break or pry the old pulley off) install the new pulley making sure it is all the way up the shaft locking the tabs into the shat groove. Reinstallmotor to the base. To replace the belt, tilted the unit backwards to access the pulleys from the bottom and installed. Note: it ios easier to install the belt fully on the two smaller puleys attcahed to the drive motor and pump and then wrap as much as you can around the larger drum pulley. Hold the belt in one hand and turn the drum pulley clockwise with the other and the belt will follow and install. reverse steps to reassemble.

broken motor pulley
i removed the plastic cover.then i disconnected the harnest.i then removed the 2 screws and took the motor out. i took a hack saw blade and made a mark in the old pulley. i then took a screw driver and put it in the crack and tapped on it and the old pulley fell apart. i then put on the new pulley and reconnect the motor. i then reconnect the belt.my washer is working great.it was so easy and i save myself some money in the process.

Removed the 2 screws on the front panel after unplugging the unit. Removed the 2 screws on the safety cover and removed the wiring coupling. Removed the 2 bolts that was holding down the belt adjuster. Fed adjuster around pully wheel after removing belt. Installed new motor and re-assembled in reverse of disassembly. Plugged in unit and tested motor. Unit still operating satisfactory. Wash about 5 loads everyday. Large family

Knocking and Squealing Noise then Motor Hum
Removed the control panel, top and front panels to access the motor. Removed the motor and inspected. The motor looked fine. Leaned machine back and remove the brake cover following the directions posted by others on this website. Discovered grease and grime on the friction brake, which did not look right. The grease must have slung off of the transmission shaft. Wiped the brake clean with a dry rag and put machine back together. Machine did not run, motor only hummed. I replaced the motor only and the machine now works fine. My feeling is the grease caused the brake to stick and every time the motor started up, the sticking brake put a strain on the motor. Over time this cause the motor to burn up. Machine is only 6 years old. Sounds like a design flaw.

One of the two bolts that holds the motor in place broke off and since the bolts are actually embedded in the motor I had to buy the whole motor rather then just a 25 cent bolt.
First I took the front shield off, then I took the motor off.

Water Pump Failed
Obvious problem: belt destroyed. The plastic pulley on the motor was damaged beyond repair. Since you can't replace just the plastic pulley, you have to purchase another motor. The machine still would not spin. Checked the pump again. The bearings might be bad. Replaced pump; Success! washer works again. Total repair: belt $15.68, new pulley with motor $132.00, and new pump $80.00. Estimated cost to repair about $228.00. Time to troubleshoot. 1 hour, time to fix 1 hour; Total time in labor about 2 hours.
just took the front off and then took the old motor off and switched over about 2 parts from the old to the new and then put the new part on and then placed the front back on and it was ready to go
