Our ice maker has stopped producing ice. Last week it was making a ticking sound that reminded me of a clock and now it makes and occasional buzzing sound. The arm for the ice maker seems to be stuck in a halfway down position. How do i know if it's the ice maker or the water inlet valve that needs replacing? There does not appear to be any water or ice in the ice maker.
For model number KBFS25EWBL4
Hi Brienna, thank you for your question. There are two parts that you should check for this issue. The valve can be tested with a multi meter and should be reading between 500 - 1500 ohms of resistance. If that part is testing correctly then you should look into your ice maker being the issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

My ice maker doesnt work but i do get water from the dispenser , could it be frozen ?
For model number 59677603803
Hello and thank you for writing.
It is a very rare occasion that the cause of not having ice but still have water would be a frozen ice maker itself. This could possibly indicate a malfunctioning Ice maker itself PS2121513 and/or possibly a faulty ice maker motor kit PS733947, you should check for signs of damage, and replace the part(s) as needed. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.
Ice maker not working. No ice in waterline. Jumped t & h with freezer switch off and nothing happened. No clicking of water inlet valve. Does not seem to be calling for water. Water dispenser working in fridge.

Hello and thank you for writing.
It certainly sounds like it could be a faulty water inlet valve PS11738514 you should check the part(s) for signs of damage, and replace the part(s) as needed. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.

Water dispenser makes a "water hammer" noise and flow is very low. Tried replacing the filter but no fix. Flow is normal when bypass cap is installed. I replaced the filter head a few years ago when flow was low and that worked, but this time i have the hammer noise as well. Can't decide if it's the filter head again or the inlet valve. Any suggestions?

Hello and thank you for writing.
It certainly sounds more like it could be a faulty water inlet valve PS11754529, you should check for signs of damage, and replace if necessary. You should also make sure it was an OEM filter PS11722130 you replaced as there have been issues with aftermarket filters. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.
My Jenn-Air refrigerator ice-maker was leaking into the bin for a time. Now it has stopped making ice altogether. I was about to purchase a replacement ice-maker from you, but then it occurred to me that the problem may have been with a leaky valve. So, i'm not sure which i should replace, the ice-maker or the valve. Any thoughts?
For model number JFC2290VTB2
Hello Doug, thank you for inquiring. With the combination of the leaking you will want to consider this Valve part PS11738514. If not, then it will be the Replacement Ice Maker part PS2121513. We hope this helps.
